I'm helping do a little footwork for physics professor Dr. Jones.
I've heard it said that firefighers & first responders actually witnessed liquid metal in the debris of the Twin Towers. (I know about Christopher Bollyn's alleged interview with Mark Loixeaux of Controlled Demo Inc, but this ins't very interesting).
Can anyone help with links to actual eyewitness statements?
Thanks!
George

This isn't quite what you asked for but this New Scientist article illustrates that some real powerful explosives must have been used if it smoudlered for 3 months.
Ground Zero's fires still burning
11:20 03 December 2001
From New Scientist Print Edition.
Jonathan Beard, New York
Almost 12 weeks after the terrorist atrocity at New York's World Trade Center, there is at least one fire still burning in the rubble - it is the longest-burning structural fire in history.
Deputy Chief Charles Blaich of the New York City Fire Department would not predict when the last fire might be extinguished. But compared to the situation at the end of September, when aerial thermal images showed the whole of Ground Zero to be a hot spot, conditions today are much safer for the workers clearing the rubble.

We've also found several references to molten metal. We're now looking for PHOTOS or videos of the molten metal, or a lab that has taken SAMPLES.

GW,
Some background info to assist your research (unfortunately it doesn't assist with any witness testimony to hotspots remaining for weeks after 9/11).
I have the PDF of a paper entitiled ‘Mysteries of the Twin Towers’ by Roger Herbst BAAE, ME May 2004, that I downloaded from the web (can’t remember which site).
I have attached an excerpt from the paper relating to the basement ‘hot spots’.
The web URL quoted (http://greenwood.cr.usgs.gov/pub/open-file-reports/ofr-01-0429/index. html) now re-directs to http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2001/ofr-01-0429/index.htmlwhich is a page entitled ‘Environmental Studies of the World Trade Center area after the September 11, 2001 attack’.
Googling AVIRIS +WTC gives http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2001/ofr-01-0429/thermal.r09.html which provides info on the images taken, but doesn’t suggest hot spots remaining much after Sept. 23, 2001.
The web-site http://www.mapcruzin.com/news/rtk042802a.htmrelates background information on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) & the AVIRIS work (NASA gathered data early on about the pollution levels at the site by flying the Airborne Visible/Infrared Imaging Spectrometer (AVIRIS), a scientific instrument designed to view the site in many different wavelengths, on an aircraft over the World Trade Centre area on September 16, 18, 22, and 23, 2001. This page also suggests a number of anomalies & cover ups relating to environmental issues, which could suggest the possibility of some covering up in respect of these thermal images.
You can bet that if there WERE Spectrometer images of hot spots weeks AFTER Sept. 11th, they are not going to be publically available! I think that the ‘molten’ metal remaining many weeks after September 11th relates to discoveries on the ground. I doubt that any written evidence remains to corroborate any unusual temperatures found weeks later. Any such evidence would have been discovered by the WTC site clean up teams (who incidentally included the UK firms Amec & Bovis) who, you can bet, would have been sworn to absolute secrecy as a condition of their appointment as contractors.
