I am new to here, but I have been following "truth movement" since I left NY in September 10th 2001 at 12pm. I was in Twin Towers at 10am on 10th of September and I took some of the last pictures of it. Having been there just one day before I had to analyze it closer. It never seemed right to me. I have always questioned official story. I am a businessman myself and I may say I am a public person (featured on TV, Radio, daily newspapers from time to time). I have some concerns about what have been happening recently around me. The only activity in this field that I undertook was:
- watching forums like this one (not taking part)
- browsing so called "conspiracy sites" (Alex Jones, etc...)
- downloading movies about subject
- Possibly talking about it to much to strangers
I might be getting slightly paranoid but in last year I was:
- stopped at airport in UK under anti-terror laws and my details were taken and I was interrogated
- Stopped again at UK airport and escorted to my plane (apparently I was found in the wrong sector of airport - the sector that showed on my booking)
- stopped 2 weeks ago while crossing English Channel and my car turned upside down for no particular reason
Question: how safe or dangerous it is these days to:
- use google?
- browse internet?
- take part in forums like this one?
Is anyone of you taking any action against being spied on what you do on the net? Or am I just getting completely paranoid?
Thanks

I think maybe you are being a little paranoid but IMO you are right your internet provider can trace everywhere you go on the net. In China a lot of websites are banned so they use other proxy's a different IP address. There are programs like anonamizer, net conceal, proxyway and hideip that stops anyone finding what websites you visit. Maybe you have just been unlucky at airports and the ferry but I usually get stopped (must be the face) at them also. Did you work at the WTC or were you just there working for the day on 10/9/01??? |

Hi Lukas, and welcome!
There is nothing paranoid in having concerns regarding internet security. The thing with internet security is... it has none.
Always be aware that your internet habits can be monitored, but don't deprive yourself of the best tool against propoganda the world has ever seen.
I'm not much good with the tecnical stuff, but there are precautions you can take and i should think even certain equipment you can buy to increase safety. Anyone have anything on this?
Duh- damn my slow typing! thanks for the REAL info Garcon! _________________ War is when the government tells you who the bad guy is. Revolution is when you decide that for yourself. |

Garcon thanks for replay. I was in world trade just for a day - not working, visiting briefly. My concerns arose from:
The Guardian Monday 28.08.2006, article: "they know about you"
http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,,1859629,00.html
there is another interesting one in the same issue:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,,1859632,00.html
Question: is it a good idea to use google gadgets and toolbars especially ones like: global consciousness (looks like a good way to tell your opinion to lots of people around the globe) |

If the idea of possibly being monitored inhibits your behaviour, then they have already won. It seems like just the threat of being monitored has been enough to limit your freedom, which is the designed reaction.
As we see with the constant threats, they don't even need very many attacks, as the threat alone is more than enough to keep people in a constant state of fear.
You have the courage to face up to reality, which is that 9/11 was an inside job, so anything else you might face shouldn't really be a problem.
Don't go losing your bottle now mate. |

Welcome.
Do the tiny minority that control us have the time to monitor every last one of us ? Nah.
In order to do that, they would need a massive force of heartless, soulless fools such as themselves.
And at the end of the day most people are basically good. How can these people plug a trillion holes in a dam ?
Achieve major status such as JFK, RFK, MLK, PopeJP1 or Princess Diana, and you might really need to watch your back.
The truth and NUMBERS are our strength.
Worry not, and if you still do worry, cover your tracks by making sure that you persuade 10 others of the truth. This in itself will further dilute the risk |

Hello lukas and welcome.
There are some things you can do that i would consider generally sensible:
Get peerguardian 2 (especially if you use P2P for your documentaries)
http://phoenixlabs.org/
Use customise google in Mozilla Firefox (instead of IE) to anonymise the google cookie:
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/central/
https://addons.mozilla.org/?application=firefox
or use http://scroogle.org as a search engine.
And maybe some script/ad blocker to get rid of nonsense - all available as firefox addons.
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/722/
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/10/
Get a good firewall (Zone Alarm, Outpost, Sygate).
These are common sense things you can do that i would say mostly improve the net/secure yer pc from some attacks and allow ya a bit of power to stick yer fingers up at the data mining etc
End of the day 'they' created the net and if someone wants in they will have it but why would they?

Lukas, although one should be careful, just remember who the real criminals are here, and they are not us on this forum.
As is so rightly said in the great film "V for Vendetta", it is not the people who should be scared of the Government, it is the Government who should be scare of the people.
And welcome to the forum.
I am firmly of the opinion that explosives were used to bring down the Twin Towers, from the top down, probably detonated quickly and in sequence using computer software. During your time in the Twin Towers, did you experience any times when it could have been possible for people to enter and rig charges? I am thinking in terms of drills where the public were evacuated from parts of the building, shut downs of power and so forth, whatever. |

How many here ever went up those towers? I did about 20 years ago and was blown away by the scale of it and not paying too much attention outside of that. The scale of that building was hard to comprehend. No video or photo can possibly do it justice.
I am also firmly of the belief they were brought down in a CD, topple maybe, collapse down in 10 seconds? NO NO NO NO NO.
NO

Thank you for all replies. You are right," fear kills the mind and numebrs of us do count".
To Scar:
I was not really paying attaniton to what was going in WTC at the time so I can't say if there were any anomalies. I will post my photo from WTC from 10/09/2001 soon - just have to dig it out and there are quite a few of them. I do not know if it is my memory playing tricks with me - but I think there were some restricitons for tourists that day, couse for some reason (possibly lack of $$$) we did not go to the top. I will ask a friend that was there with me about it to refresh my memory.
Ohh god, trust me I was really shocked when I landed in Warsaw just to learn that there was a major attack on NY. I will possibly see some of you coming Sunday - Brixton, London.
Great forum by the way |

"Am I Safe using the Internet"
No
It is a risk to use the internet: we could be f***ed, Internet firewalls and the like are only insurance policies, their is no guarentee they will work until the are tested, and the systems survaillance is godlike powerful, the state has massive processing power to track our E-audit trail, including phones and cards, let alone cameras!
However, if we dont use the internet, if we do nothing and ignore what we see and dont use our voices:
We are guarenteed to get f***ed anyway, so I use the net and b*ll*cks to "them" _________________ Free your Self and Free the World |
