Pikey,
I share your sentiments, but unfortunately, I don't agree. The audience will have been listening to an absorbing speech, containing much material that they would not have heard before, given by someone who has for five years written and spoken about the events of 9/11. Dr Griffin's speech will be without doubt, thought provoking, and at its end people will be turning things they have heard for the first time over in their mind. To break into song, at that point, would be wildly distracting.

You have to understand that there will be a lot of people coming who know little or nothing about 9/11 Truth.
If you play a song and ask people to link hands it will mar the academic integrity of the event.
Has anyone seen the Steven Jones presentation from the LA Conference?
I showed that to a friend and when the song came on even I felt it undermined his credibility.
I'm hoping this event will stick to an academic context. |

Exposing the truth of 911 as I see it, based on my personal reserach, is I believe the key to the elimination of the creation of a prison planet, an Orwellian big brother fascist state, the dawn of a spiritual era!
Its the key IMO because the evidence is there to lift the veil off the spin and lies presented by a corporate media.
The statement on the front page of this website states "truth unites"
The 911 truth campaign IMHO is not about academics its about people as one, giving them the opportunity to make judgements and choices based on truth.
I dont know what the composition of the audience will be but I do hope that it will be a mix from the whole social spectrum.
Everyones gotta learn sometime comrade not just academics! _________________ Pikey

I know and I agree with you.
But unfortunately alot of people have a very falliblistic view of knowledge and instead of thinking for themselves resort to authority and who to believe.
It is for this reason that I feel the arguments for 9/11 Truth should be made in an academic context.
Once people are convinced, then issues of social change can be addressed.
Don't get me wrong, I like John Lennon too |

Hi Pikey
Thanks for the suggestion, but in fact after DRG's speech, there will be a short break, and then plenty of time for questions. After that, we want people to drift out, thinking about what they've heard and, hopefully, having a look at the stalls. I don't think a song at this stage would fit with the rhythm of the evening, if you'll excuse the pun.
See you Saturday.

I moved this thread into the "campaigning" forum, as it the song in of itself isn't an event.
I agree that it's a nice idea in principle, but with the mixture of people there (possibly a few press), it might be construed in the wrong way. _________________ Andrew
