This is a bit of a strange one. I would like to know if anyone on this site has ever seen a picture of the bus which exploded on 7/7 in BBC news reports unrelated to terrorism. A friend of mine recently told me that while he was watching BBC news 24 channel exactly this happened during a report about a car crash in Milton Keynes. It was on the screen for probably no more than a second, he recalled, but long enough for you to notice what it was. This was apparently the second time he has seen it happen and the newsreaders looked as if they had seen something that wasn't right but just carried on with reading the news after a slight hesitation. I am assured that he is not making this up, although I have never seen it occur my self, however he spends a lot more time watching NEWS24 than I do. If you have seen this happen before please post it on this thread, and if you have Sky digital or something that allows you to rewind and record live TV then do so!
It would also be good to point out if you notice any other unrelated footage appearing in a report, as I'm sure that while uncommon, these mistakes do happen. Especially if they show something like a report on the Chelsea flower show which includes a picture of the 7/7 bus and the next report happens to be about terrorism! |

Mine too, but other explanations are possible. However, if it is happening more often and it's recorded it could be a case for Ofcom. |
