Relaxation of luggage rules

Downing St spokesperson says current restrictions will "probably" be relaxed. The usual clever way of getting information out there without being held immediately accountable.

I agree with the poster on another thread that most rational people see through the sham.

I went to the Irish Truth event last week in Dublin, the first time I've flown in years.

The security procedures were different at Stanstead and Dublin. I even asked the security lady at Dublin in case she'd overlooked anything and she replied that each airport does things differently.

I spoke with a couple of people waiting for the bus and they confirmed that European airports, immediately after 10/8 had different arrangments.

One particular piece of nonsense is worth mentioning.

Shortly after 10/8 they announced the hand baggage size restiction, which, conveniently allowed business travellers to board with laptops.

A few weeks earlier Dell amongst others had issued a product recall for all laptops fitted with Sony batteries becaue they had a tendency to explode.
