Subject: Major put option for this Oct. 6th
Dear 9/11 friends,
A friend informed me that major put options have been placed for this Oct. 6th on a number of big indexes. See the article below for info.
http://www.freemarketnews.com/WorldNews.asp?nid=22476
I don't have membership with Fidelity.com to confirm the claims. Does any of you? I'd like to verify this before spreading the news. If it is true, we may need to be prepared for something very soon. Please get back to me soon if you have any info on this or access to Fidelity.
With very best wishes,
Fred

I dont understand all this share, put option nonsense. I think the stock exchange should be closed down. It doesn´t produce anything anyway, just folk waving paper about yelling like in a school playground. _________________ "Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our mind..." Someone has reprised an article from yesterday, Monday 2nd October, in, what is I believe, a reputable SE circular suggesting that we should be concerned about 'put options' being terminated on October 6th. I don't know enough about 'puts'. Can they be cancelled without any outstanding penalty? Would their cancellation be unthinkable, if that is the case? Suppose there is no slide in the market. Do these speculators lose their "investment"? Well, Yadder, yadder! I'm going to watch this space. |

You don't understand it, so you want to close it down? Hardly a reasoned argument is it? If the shouting upset you, don't worry it's all gone now and everything is done on screen now. "Open outcry" is no more. |
