taken from another board.
You're probably thinking what the heck is this. Allow me to explain the purpose of this thread, what these pictures mean, and who these people are and what goes on at this place.
Welcome to Bohemian Grove
Now not so long ago in another thread I mentioned a place in Northern San Francisco, right near Santa Rosa called "The Grove". Bohemian Grove is actually its proper name. So what is Bohemian Grove and what is its significance?
The Bohemian Grove is a 2700 acre redwood forest, located in Monte Rio, CA. It contains accommodation for 2000 people to "camp" in luxury. It is owned by the Bohemian Club.
What is the Bohemian Club? The Bohemian Club is a private, all male club, which is headquartered in the Bohemian building in San Francisco. It was formed in 1872 by men who sought shelter from the frontier culture (or lack of culture). Today, a prospective member faces an interrogation that, according to one club man, ‘would satisfy the KGB.’ There is a waiting list of 1,500 notables, all eager to pay the $2,500 initiation fee and $600-a-year dues.”
Quote:
“Anybody can be President of the United States, but very few can ever have any hope of becoming President of the Bohemian Club.”
- President Richard Nixon, 1972

Who are the people that visit Bohemian Grove ?
For over 128 years, world leaders have traveled to Sonoma County California in the month of July. The Bohemian Grove attracts the world's leading politicians, from all nations, corporate CEO's, and pretty much the movers and shakers of the business and political world. In total there is an estimated 2000 people who attend this annual event. And yes even all the big boys we know are there.
The Bohemian club has evolved into an association of rich and powerful men, mostly of this country. Some artists are allowed to join because of their social status and entertainment value. The membership list has included every Republican U.S. president (as well as some Democrats) since 1923, many cabinet officials, and director; & CEO's of large corporations, including major financial institutions.
Some of the members in which you'll recognise are: The Bush's, Richard Nixion, Donald Rumsfeld, D'ick Cheney, Henry Kissinger, George Shultz, James Baker, Jimmy Carter, William Randolph Hearst Jr., Walter Cronkite, David Gergen and David Rockefeller. Notables have also included the presidents of CNN and the Associated Press.
Here is a picture of some people you may recognise. On the left of the man standing (Harvey Hancock) you can see Ronald Reagan, and on the right is Richard Nixon.
However the Bohemian Club is split into 'Camps'. Here is a list of the 'Camps':
- Uplifters
- Silverado Squatters
- Highlanders
- Friends of the Forest
- Jinks Band
- Hill Billies : the Bush's belong in this camp.
- Mandalay : the most prestigious camp. Henry Kissenger is a member.
- Caveman
- Midway
- Lost Angels
- Zaca
- Parsonage
- Druids
- Thalia
What activities take place at the grove ? The grove is the site of a two week retreat every July. At these retreats, the members commune with nature in a truly original way. They drink heavily from morning through the night, bask in their freedom to urinate on the redwoods, and perform pagan rituals (including the "Cremation of Care", in which the members wearing red-hooded robes, cremate a coffin effigy of "Dull Care" at the base of a 40 foot owl altar).
Some (20%) engage in homosexual activity (but few of them support g'ay rights or AIDS research).
[see: New York Post: G'ay Porn Star Services Bohemian Grove Members ]
They watch (and participate in) plays and comedy shows in which women are portrayed by male actors. Although women are not allowed in the Grove, members often leave at night to enjoy the company of the many prostitutes who come from around the world for this event. Is any of this hard to believe? Employees of the Grove have said that no verbal description can accurately portray the bizarre behavior of the Grove's inhabitants.
World leaders dressing up as women and entertaining
There has even been many reports of prostitutes, both male and female being flown in to "serve" the 2000 members.
The most powerful men in the country do their "networking" here, despite the Grove's motto "weaving spiders come not here" (don't do business in the Grove). At these gatherings men representing the government, military-industrial, and financial sectors meet and make major policy decisions. The Manhattan project, which produced the first atomic bombs, was conceived at the Grove in 1942. Other decisions made at the Grove include who our presidential candidates will be. There are speeches, known as "Lakeside Talks", wherein high-ranking officials disseminate information which is not available to the public-at-large.
For instance back in 1991, July 22nd, Elliot Richardson, Secretary of Defense/Attorney General in Nixon Administration made a speech on "Defining a New World Order".
Cremation of care ritual and the significance of the Owl.
This is the program cover you get when you enter.
As you can tell by now, the owl appears frequently in and around the Bohemian Grove. So what is this owl?
There are three major stage events at each Summer Encampment. The first, called "Cremation of Care" is a bizarre production on the opening night of every encampment, a ritualistic ceremony involving hundreds of participants. It ends with the symbolic burning in effigy of a wooden skeleton in a coffin that represents the end of the cares of the world.
Carried by pallbearers and "high priests" in bright red hoods and flowing robes, the coffin burns as chants give way to a band playing "There’ll Be a Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight."
Climax of the ceremony; 'Cremation of Care'
Well when the Bohemian Club members perform their annual 'Cremation of Care' ritual, they do so by worshipping a giant stone owl named Moloech. Some of you may know that in the Bible it makes reference to Moloech.
Quote:
Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molech, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD. (Leviticus 18:21)
Quote:
Say to the Israelites: ‘Any Israelite or any alien living in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech must be put to death. The people of the community are to stone him. I will set my face against that man and I will cut him off from his people; for by giving his children to Molech, he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name. (Leviticus 20:2,3)
John Milton in Paradise Lost described Moloch as follows:
Quote:
"First Moloch, horrid king, besmirched with blood
Of human sacrifice, and parents' tears,
Though, for the noise of drums and timbrels loud,
Their children's cries unheard, that passed through fire
To his grim idol."
"Sacrificing Dull Care"
"The Cremation of Care ritual is over one hundred years old and is always the first order of business when these men of industry, government and military [so they say] gather each July. At sundown on the first Saturday of their encampment they enact a bizarre short scripted play (it's always the same) in which they burn an effigy of "Dull Care" at the bottom of a forty foot stone owl. Their rationale is that they carry the cares of the world around on their shoulders and they need a symbolic ritual in order to put it down and enjoy their holiday. Since 1980, activists in Sonoma County have brought this to the attention of anyone who will listen and we began a new tradition with a Resurrection of Care event on the same day."
Click here to see a picture of the 'Cremation of Care' Ritual' -- taken in 1915.
Maybe it's just me but the fact that world leaders are worshipping a Giant owl named Moloech is disturbing. Furthermore with the members of the Grove sacrificing people in effigy; this is very troublesome.
Grove intruder says he feared human sacrifices
"If my neighbor was worshipping a 40-foot stone owl and burned children on a fire, I wouldn't let that neighbor walk my dog or baby-sit my children. Instead these people are baby-sitting the big red button," Jones said. "This is some sick stuff."
Last year, I was disappointed to miss the birthday lunch that Ed Feulner hosts every year at some fish house on the road to Bohemian Grove in July. It’s nice of the President to bring us all together for an early celebration here in the EEOB (Eisenhower Executive Office Building).
"The Bohemian Grove -- which I attend, from time to time -- it is the most faggy goddamned thing you could ever imagine, with that San Francisco crowd. I can't shake hands with anybody from San Francisco."
I don't blame him ... I mean they dress up as women and "interact" with other males. I can see why he thinks it's "faggy".
One of the keys in all this will be the final round of words between Schwarzenegger and former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan -- who is being urged to run by more liberal Republicans.
"The bottom line," our source told us, "is if Arnold goes, D'ick won't. If Arnold doesn't do it, then it's highly likely D'ick will -- it's between the two of them to hash out."
From what we've hear, the Republican hierarchy -- especially those close to former Gov. Pete Wilson -- would favor Schwarzenegger. At least that's the word that came out of the Bohemian Grove this past weekend, where a number of state and national GOPers, including presidential adviser Karl Rove, happened to have gathered at a club getaway.
Child raped at the Grove
26 July 1984: Kidnapped child-se'x abuse victim, Nebraskan Paul Bonacci, a young teen, writes in his diary of being kidnapped by "the rising Black American star in the Republican Party, Larry King" who takes him in a private plane to California to participate in a snuff film made at Bohemian Grove. Bonacci was forced to have sex with a young boy who was then both se'xually abused and raped repeatedly by older men, and then murdered on film. Bonacci wrote in his diary that it took place in California, in "an area that had big trees." At a public meeting in Santa Rosa, California, investigator/author ex-Senator John DeCamp later told a group that he had edited out Bonacci's 1984 references to an enormous, moss-covered owl and men in hooded red robes because he did not know then about the Owl at the Grove and thought it "too far fetched for people to believe."

Bohemian Grove symbolised?
It should be noted that I do not agree or disagree with the following - it is beside the point. I am merely displaying some interesting pictures / information.
The owl is clearly seen here
Their logo displayed in front of their HQ's
You can see an owl in the background
Interesting photo here. Is that an owl in that small area? It could be ...
Some say Washington is mapped out as an owl. Just a picture though

In the US, Occupy protesters have descended on a quiet California redwood retreat - where some of the world's elite gather every year. Demonstrators say the two weeks, officially portrayed as a time of rest and relaxation, is really a chance to discuss plans for the world's future. Occupy Bohemian Grove
http://www.opednews.com/articles/Occupy-Bohemian-Grove-by-Peter-Philli ps-120711-192.html?
By Peter Phillips (about the author)
Occupy groups from Santa Rosa, San Francisco, Portland, Sebastopol, and Petaluma, are joining some twenty other social justice activist organizations to protest the powerful one-percent elites partying at the Bohemian Grove in Monte Rio, California July 14-29.
2,000-3,000 rich and wealthy men have gathered every summer for 133 years in a private 2,800 acre ancient redwood retreat to celebrate themselves with parties, entertainment, and speakers. The men, Bohemian Club members and their guests, will hold a cremation of care ceremony July 14, where they symbolically burn the cares of the world before a giant owl in a bizarre annual ritual.
This year's protest against the gathering of the world's political and economic elite is called "Occupy Bohemian Grove, Expose the 1%." Occupy groups across America, and increasingly the world, are working to expose the one percent in control of global resources who are bringing human rights repression, environmental destruction, and war to humankind.
The Fukushima Mothers and Cindy Sheehan are joining the twenty-four co-sponsors for a Creation of Care ceremony, speakers, and music, Saturday, July 14, at the Monte Rio Amphitheater, just outside the gates of the Bohemian Grove. Kris Welsh will MC the day, and Dennis Bernstein, host of Flashpoints on KPFA/Pacifica radio will broadcast live from the event. Russia Today-TV with Abby Martin will film and John Rees with No-Lies Radio will video-cast the day on the Internet.
The protest will feature Occupy groups as well as other organizations including Code Pink, Peace and Justice Center, ANSWER Coalition, Project Censored, Bohemian Grove Action Network, Veterans for Peace, National Lawyers Guild, Round Valley Indians for Justice, and various others groups focused on key issues, such as climate change, human rights, Palestine, Cuban Five, and a living wage. Representatives from these organizations and more will speak joining in coalition to create a vast cornucopia of care as a counter to the one-percent elites less than a mile away. In addition to the speakers, the program at the amphitheater will include musical performances by Dave Lippman, Teresa Tudury, Jim Ocean, Scott Gerber, Attila Nagy, Keith Blackstone and the Hubbub Club.
Admission to the Creation of Care is free. It will run from noon to 4 p.m. at the Monte Rio amphitheater, which is located at 9925 Main Street in downtown Monte Rio.
Please see the complete list of endorsements and speakers on our flyer.
Open Letter to San Francisco Bohemian Club
July 4, 2012
Mr. Robert J. Boesch
President San Francisco Bohemian Club
624 Taylor Street
San Francisco, CA 94102
Dear Mr. Boesch,
Media Freedom Foundation/Project Censored has joined a coalition of some twenty-five social justice organizations and occupy groups to protest the San Francisco Bohemian Club's practices at your annual summer encampments.
We are holding an Occupy Bohemian Grove protest in Monte Rio on July 14, 2012. For publicity and information on this event see: http://www.occupybohemiangrove.com/
Occupy groups from five cities are involved in protesting your annual summer encampment of the rich and powerful 1%. Given that it takes $588,000 in assets to be in the top 1% of the world richest people, we believe that a significant portion of your members fit this category.
Our group has attended the planning meetings for this protest, and want to inform you about the day's events and make some policy recommendations for the Club to consider.
The Occupy Bohemian Grove coalition is planning a four hour public assembly from noon to 4:00 on July 14. During that time there will be speakers, music and a creation of care ceremony in opposition to your cremation of care and private talks by policy elites at the Grove. KPFA radio will broadcast live from Monte Rio, No Lies Radio will video feed the proceedings on the internet, and Russia Today TV will be filming and interviewing activists.
We are not planning or promoting civil disobedience or trespassing on Grove property as part of the protest. We are not organizing a march on the Grove, as has been done in the past. Some curious participants may walk up the Bohemian Highway to see your gates.
Recommendations to the San Francisco Bohemian Club in a time of Occupy the 1%.
Whereas:
The 2,000 acre retreat, now privately held near Monte Rio, California, is in part an ancient old growth redwood forest with trees over one thousand years of age and;
The San Francisco Bohemian Club continues to exclude women from membership and;
Significant public leaders in the world give private keynote addresses (chats) on a daily basis on important policy issues, and;
The private happenings inside the summer retreat boundaries face continuing unproven rumors regarding nefarious behaviors and insider deals made by powerful elites.
We Recommend that:
1. The Bohemian Grove recognize the rights of humankind to enjoy a fair share of the common heritage of the ancient redwood forest by opening the Grove to tours on a regular basis when club members are not assembled--
2. The Bohemian Club begin a policy of admitting women and arranging the Grove to accommodate both genders--
3. The lakeside chats and other addresses by key policy officials be made public on-line and transcripts prepared and published--
4. The Cremation of Care ceremony be transformed into a building of unity of care in the world and the ceremony be made public on-line--
5. The Bohemian Club set up an on-line live feed from the main stage and field circle, as events are occurring.
We strongly believe in full transparency of public figures giving lectures to a select few men and we believe that the privacy of your events is unnecessary in a time of increasingly inequality between the 1% and the 99%.
We think that the San Francisco Bohemian Club can demonstrate a belief in an open transparent democratic society by simply changing a few of your historical policies. As symbolic representatives of the top 1% in the world, it is time for you to exercise a responsibility to help build a fair sharing of the world's resources starting with your own Club.
This letter has been publicly released. We trust you will take our recommendations seriously.
Sincerely,
Peter Phillips

The elites themselves are nuts quite obviously. They clearly think of themselves as our gods as the Bohemian Grove motto shows - "let weaving spiders come not here" That's a threat if ever I heard one, and one that I believe alludes to the myth of Arachne, who was punished not simply because she challenged the gods but more importantly because she had dared to depict their transgressions. And so perhaps they like eugenics (as again they clearly do) because it is a useful kind of cover for their real desire - an excuse for population reduction and a world freed from so many irritating and potentially threatening useless eaters such as ourselves. But then again, perhaps they really want to be made superhuman - I wouldn't put anything past them
Quote:
The owl motif of the Bohemian Club. The owl being the emblem of Athena or Minerva who seems important to the elites in many ways (for instance, Britannia is based on Minerva). In the story of Arachne, she is a weaver who boasts that her skill is greater than Minerva. Minerva then challenges Arachne to a contest and it's here that the offending tapestries are produced.
It's the secretive meeting that the world's elites don't want you to
know about - some of the world's richest and brightest are descending on Bohemian Grove yet again this year. RT correspondent Abby Martin is on the ground and she is bringing the latest on what's really going on there.

Martin Van Creveld: Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: "Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother."
Martin Van Creveld: I'll quote Henry Kissinger: "In campaigns like this the antiterror forces lose, because they don't win, and the rebels win by not losing."
July 18th 2015 was the first day of this year’s summer camp for the world’s business and political aristocracy and their invited guests. 2,000 to 3,000 men, mostly from the wealthiest global one percent, gather at Bohemian Grove, 70 miles north of San Francisco in California’s Sonoma County—to sit around the campfire and chew the fat—off-the-record—with ex-presidents, corporate leaders rs and global financiers.
Speakers this year giving “Lakeside Chats†include past Secretary of Defense and the CIA Leon Panetta, Paul Volcker Jr. former Federal Reserve Chairman, retired Admiral Mike Mullen former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, NYU Law Professor Bryan Stevenson, producer Norman Lear, the founder of AOL Steve Case, and Christopher Hill former US Ambassador to Iraq.
The Bohemian Grove summer encampments have become one of the most famous private men's retreats in the world. Club members and several hundred world-class guests gather annually in the last weeks of July to recreate what has been called "the greatest men's party on earth." Spanning three weekends, the outdoors event includes lectures, rituals, theater, camp parties, golf, swimming, skeet shooting, politics, sideline business meetings and feasts of food and alcohol.
One might imagine modern-day aristocrats like Henry Kissinger, the Koch brothers, and Donald Rumsfeld amid a circle of friends sipping cognac and discussing how the "unqualified" masses cannot be trusted to carry out policy, and how elites must set values that can be translated into "standards of authority."
Private men's clubs, like the San Francisco Bohemian Club, have historically represented institutionalized race, gender and class inequality. English gentlemen's clubs emerged during Great Britain’s empire building period as an exclusive place free of troublesome women, under-classes, and non-whites. Copied in the United States, elite private men’s clubs served the same self-celebration purposes as their English counterparts.
The San Francisco Bohemian Club was formed in 1872 as a gathering place for newspaper reporters and men of the arts and literature. By the 1880s local businessmen joined the Club in large numbers, quickly making business elites the dominant group. More than 2,500 men are members today. Most are from California, while several hundred originate from some 35 states and a dozen foreign countries. About one-fifth of the members are either directors of one or more of the Fortune 1000 companies, corporate CEOs, top governmental officials (current and former) and/or members of important policy councils or major foundations. The remaining members are mostly regional business/legal elites with a small mix of academics, military officers, artists, or medical doctors.
Foremost at the Bohemian Grove is an atmosphere of social interaction and networking. You can sit around a campfire with directors of PG&E, or Bank of America. You can shoot skeet with the former secretaries of state and defense, or you can enjoy a sing-along with a Council of Foreign Relations director or a Business Roundtable executive. All of this makes for ample time to develop personal long-lasting connections with powerful influential men.
On the surface, the Bohemian Grove is a private place where global and regional elites meet for fun and enjoyment. Behind the scene, however, the Bohemian Grove is an American version of building insider ties, consensual understandings, and lasting connections in the service of class solidarity. Ties reinforced at the Grove manifest themselves in global trade meetings, party politics, campaign financing, and top-down corporatism.
