|
|
The steering committee of the British and Irish 911 Truth Movement, which was set up at the London conference on September 25th last, will hold a meeting in Blackpool on Saturday 18th February from 10am till 6pm. David Boyle of the Blackpool group is kindly making his premises of the Conspiracies Exhibition on the Promenade available for our deliberations. There are some urgent decisions to be taken, which we have been unable to settle through internet discussion, on the following agenda:
1 Finance and fund raising
2 Setting up a campaign for an independent inquiry
3 Website(s)
4 Constitution
5 Iran - preventing a war
ATTENDANCE
Any of our supporters are welcome to attend, but in the event of being unable to reach a consensus and therefore having to vote on decisions, only committee members will have a vote. For voting purposes the committee should be considered to consist of those selected at the September conference plus one representative from each regional group otherwise unrepresented, plus anyone standing in for a committee member unable to attend who has been given a proxy vote by that member. Other supporters are welcome to contribute to our discussions as observers, but please bear in mind that we have limited time and decisions are needed urgently for us to make progress.
DIRECTIONS
The Conspiracies Exhibition is on the sea front, close to the southernmost of Blackpool's two piers, on the corner of a street which leads away from the promenade at right angles.
SUNDAY
It is probable that some will want to come to Blackpool only for Saturday, but that others will also want to meet up on the Sunday morning. The exhibition premises will be available on the Sunday if some supporters wish to continue discussions then.
ACCOMMODATION
Bed and breakfast accommodation at £17.50 per night can be booked at the Rossi Hotel. Details below. Please make your own travel arrangements. It looks as though two carloads will be travelling from London (contact Noel for details) and Ian Crane will be driving from Devon in a minibus and would be happy to pick up people from Bristol or elsewhere on his route.
David Boyle has sent us the following e-mail:

Hi Noel.
The Rossi Hotel Tel 01253 341731 e-mail info@hotelrossi.co..uk
263 Central promenade Blackpool
Has 19 rooms available all are on Suite
Malcolm whio is now into Conspiricies has offered them for £17-50 per person pr night.
The breakfasts are great. I can vouch for that.
Please ask each person to cantact Malcolm directly and book their requirments.
We have others nearby especially one which only charges for a room £10-00
but they are not on suite and there is no breakfast.
There are many other hotels each side of the Rossi which will have vacancies.
I have arranged for the office to be availablke with seating for 30 people and we can also take up to 20 others. But around the exhibition we can hold over 100 easily.
We will open up on the Saturday for the group from 9 am and will be delighted to give a welcoming talk. The Sunday is also available for your use.
I can aslo arrange for a tour of the exhibition. at any time.
We will do our best to entertain you with the limited staff we have.
Best regards.
D H Boyle

Hoping for a productive day next Saturday

The Conspiracies Exhibition Centre:- its just off the promenade and opposite the McDonalds on the corner site.
When you can see Blackpools Masonic symbol (Blackpool has the most lodges per unit area in the country), the Tower (or as I see it a giant obliesk like the Eiffel Tower) just head for it as its only hundreds of yards from the Centre.
A word of warning:- do not take any risks with illegal parking, the local authority are red hot on increasing their revenues!
Hope the event proves to be productive, informative and enjoyable.
Above all its an excellent opportunity for us all to meet again and acquaint ourselves with hopefully more bona fide 911 truth campaign new faces.

I have had pointed out to me that there are three piers in Blackpool, not two and that the Conspiracies Exhibition wher we shall be holding our meeting is opposite the Central pier, not the southern one as I had earlier implied. It is on the corner of Chapel Street and the Promenade.
I have now booked rooms in the Rossi Hotel for six people from the London group who will be driving North on Friday afternoon in two cars and staying in blackpool for two nights. I believe that has filled the hotel and if others need accommodation they'll have to make their own arrangements.

Hi Noel,
Just been and checked with Malcolm,
The overspill hotel which is as good and friendly as the Rossi is The Belmont,
just a little farther down the road.
Both hotels will be very accomodating and friendly The Belmont may charge a little more
than the Rossi.
e-mail lorraine@belmonthotels.com
There is also a very cheap alternative at £10 per night close to the Rossi and Malcolm said he would make the Breakfast for any one staying there ,as this one does not have breakfast included in the £10 per person per room per night.
e-mail lorraine@belmonthotels.com
Malcolm suggests you all go to him first, as becasue of the number of Rooms allocated to singles he might be able to squeeze more in.Either way everyone will be accomodated.
Look forward to seeing you all.
Best regards,
David Boyle |
