Carrier Eisenhower due to arrive near Iran on 21-10-06

Aircraft carrier Eisenhower and other supporting miltary warships should reach the Persian Gulf this weekend. They've been en-route since October 2nd after Eisenhower underwent a major refit. There are many articles which discuss this on the search engines including this one from The Smirking Chimp.

If the US is set to turn up the heat on Iran in order to prevent humiliation (or just to create subterfuge) during the forthcoming mid-term elections, then this could be a sign.

If war does happen then start getting the rations in. The price of oil will go sky high as Iran attempts to close the Straits of Hormuz. Of course, this is probably what the Bush administration wants.
