This has been on my mind since I read The New Pearl Harbour all those years ago!
It is simply that some of the biggest companies have been forced out of business in my lifetime maybe as not a direct result of Terrorist activity but certainly a major contributing factor!
Even the press of the time explained that was what toppled Pan Am after lockerbie flight 103, we had the hi jack crisis of TWA well it was so long ago that I maybe mistaken the only thing close to it is an EgyptAir desaster
On a different note and I know it was due to negligence but Townsend Thoreson ended after the Roll On Roll Over accident!
So what I'm getting at is how are United and American still flying unless they had precautionary measures in place to offset the compensation payouts, or did the Government step in to protect the Airlines? _________________ 'Come and see the violence inherent in the system.

The important thing to remember about companies is that they are run for the benefit of shareholders.
I would hazard a guess that if investigated thoroughly, a pattern might emerge that larger shareholders exit intact or better off from those colllapses, at the expense of the smaller shareholders who lose their life savings. |
