Anybody have any more on this story? The news reports are all taken up with the Menezes angle, but I can't find a scrap of information about the circumstances behind the killing itself. |

Jean de Menezes was shot 11 times in the face by several armed thugs, not one. This is obfuscation. It prolly wasn't the cops neither. |

The reports make it clear that the officer mentioned was "one of" those who shot Menezes, not that he was the only one.
That aside, the MSM are curiously silent, so far, regards what actually went down. |

From The Sun, of all places. No wonder I couldn't find anything.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006500783,00.html
AN ARMED robber was blasted to death — by one of the cops who killed innocent Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes.
The blagger fired first and died in an exchange of bullets with Flying Squad and specialist arms officers.
The Menezes gun cop had recently returned to firearms duties following the bungled shooting at London’s Stockwell Tube last July after the 7/7 bombings.
It is believed the 42-year-old robber who died was in a South East London gang behind raids on banks and building societies.
Cops were lying in wait after an underworld tip and surveillance operation.
The four-strong gang targeted a security van picking up £150,000 from a branch of the Nationwide in New Romney, Kent, on Tuesday.
They grabbed a van guard and forced him to remove four metal boxes of cash inside the branch at gunpoint.
A senior source said: “As the robbers emerged they were challenged by the Flying Squad and firearms officers from C019. One of the men aimed a sawn-off shotgun and fired. He was then shot by a marksman.” The other gang members were arrested. No cops were hurt.
Electrician Mr de Menezes, 27, was shot by two officers after being mistaken for a suicide bomber.
Police said last night: “The Specialist Firearms team (CO19) involved in the Flying Squad operation in Kent did include officers from the team involved in the Stockwell shooting.”
All very believable, I'm sure. |

JDM's block of flats was under surveillance by a squaddie and a cop. The squaddie went for a piss, and the cops radio stopped working at the same time that JDM left for work.
JDM walked to the bus stop, where he was ID'd as an IC1 by another cop. White European Male. Why did the tail continue? Cop followed him onto the bus, even though he might be wearing a "suicide belt".
He was not mistaken for a "suicide bomber", he was deliberatley executed to get get the Downing St Docs off the Front Pages of the Murdoch press.
A Deliberate Blunder.
He was apparently shot 11 times in the head by several thugs. |
