Meacher is reluctant to talk about the issue. Ask Noel (Xmasdale). As I posted elsewhere on this conference, all UK MP contact details are on the Guardian Website:

The easiest wy to find MP contact addresses is to use:

http://politics.guardian.co.uk/person/browse/mps/az/0,9379,,00.html

This has postal and e-mail address. Use your postcode if you don't know your MP's name.

or use

http://www.faxyourmp.com/ (free)

I would qualify what Andrew has written about Michael Meacher. Someone told me he has said he will not discuss the issue by e-mail, though he will on the phone. Someone else sent me copies of correspondence by letter he had had with him.

One report of a phone conversation someone had with him just before Jimmy Walter's tour started, suggested he was regretting he had not been more closely in contact with us and had therefore not been included as a platform speaker on Jimmy's tour. My impression is the guy needs encouraging a bit more by us. Does anyone on this forum live in his constituency? Does anyone else fancy corresponding with him by letter on our behalf? Would anyone like to phone him?

A starting point would be to ask him if he will support our campaign for an independent enquiry. I think he may already have said he will, but it would be good to get that in writing.

Noel

We have to do it ourselves folks.
