Inspired by the use of the origins of 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time' by whatreallyhappened.com, I have designed a flier called 'The Curious Incident of the Log of the Flight-Times'.

For anybody unfamiliar with the artwork - it is based on the cover of the adult edition of the book, 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time' by Mark Haddon - itself taking its title from the following dialogue from The Adventure of Silver Blaze a Sherlock Holmes mystery by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle:

Gregory: "Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
Holmes: "To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."
Gregory: "The dog did nothing in the night-time."
Holmes: "That was the curious incident."

From this, Sherlock Holmes deduces that the the person who stole the racehorse Silver Blaze was not a stranger to the dog - hence the application to the apparent NORAD stand down.

It is impossible to cover the issue of 9/11 in a book - let alone a flier - so this seemed like a good primer.

The fliers are 125mm x 176mm. I should have approximately 5000 of them by the 30th November and I am prepared to send them to regional groups for the price of postage (as yet unknown) and a little bit to cover the cost of having the fliers cut - I'm getting the printing done free.

Far be it for me to say how they should be used but I intend to place them in libraries, book shops etc. - in fairly small numbers in case the librarian, or whoever, sees them and throws them out.

If you would like me to send some, please PM me to let me know how many and when I have them I will divide them up proportionally.

Alternatively, I can e-mail a high resolution PDF with crop marks and bleed.

Larger, more legible, images can be seen here:

These fliers have now been printed. I actually have about 7000 of them and the print and paper quality is exceptionally high with the front gloss sealed.

Having assessed the new postage pricing, it looks most economical to send them in batches of 200. Postage will cost £2.70 first class and I will have to find some suitable packaging, so I hope it will seem reasonable to ask £3.50 per 200.

If anybody would like some, please PM me and we can sort it out.
