An opportunity to raise some 911 questions, do some 911 campaigning as well as promote our Unspinning the truth event in Lancaster on Thursday December 14.

The following article appeared in the local press, nothing on our event to date!:-

Quote:
Veteran reporter to give free talk

Former BBC Foreign Affairs correspondent and Independent MP Martin Bell is to give a public lecture at Lancaster University.

Mr Bell will speak about his long career as war reporter and then MP for Tatton in a lecture entitled “Reflections on War Peace and Politics” next Thuesday, December 7.

The FREE event is being organised by the department of Politics and International relations with the United Nations Association and the Richardson Institute for Peace and Conflict Research.

The Institute’s Director Dr Feargal Cochrane said “Martin Bell has been a witness to conflicts around the world many of which remain the focus of interest for researchers and students at Lancaster today, from Vietnam, the Middle East, Nigeria, Angola and Rwanda as well as numerous visits to Northern Ireland and, of course, the war in Bosnia”

The lecture is from 6-30pm to 8pm in the George Fox Lecture Theatre One on December 7. As the event is likely to prove popular it would be best to arrive early.

Anyone know what stance Martin Bell takes on the 911 truth campaign?

Event was cancelled at the eleventh hour, apparently Mr Bell only got as far as Watford on his train journey, due to the inclement weather conditions.

Those you did turn up, obviously disappointed, were handed flyers and glossy postcards promoting our Unspinning the truth event in Lancaster on Thursday 14th Dec (for those unaware of the event see calender for further details).

Someone there videoed it
Former BBC reporter, Martin Bell, speaking at Lancaster University.
"I don't do bland. Hostile questions are especially welcome. "
"Opinions sharpening and hardening to convictions"
"I'm now both pro-soldier and pro-peace."

Not news but sits well with Jon Snow's recent Unseen Gaza
Apologies if you've seen this before.

Martin Bell is a former television war correspondent and politician. Here he is speaking at Lancaster University on 18th October 2007.
He left the BBC in April 1997 to stand as an independent against the sitting MP for Tatton, the Tory Neil Hamilton. He won with an 11,000-vote majority, to become the first elected independent MP since 1951.
He was appointed Unicef ambassador for humanitarian emergencies in 2001. His assignments for Unicef have included Burundi, Kosovo, Tajikistan, Iraq, Malawi, Bosnia, Sudan and Sri Lanka.
RINF thanks Lancaster University and Martin Bell.
