9/11 was mentioned last night as being the reason for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The final word was from an audience member who brought up the CIA funding of the Mujahadeen and the USA should therefore be attacking themselves and got a big round of applause. This is the sort of info we should be pushing as unfortunately Joe Public is not even aware of this. You need to convince people of means and motive before they will consider it being an inside job.

I've always thought the best way of wakening the general public is to start with historical events, where official documents have been released. That tends to stop them arguing about whether you are telling them the truth because they are comfortable believing authority.

Then I think the second phase is to highlight how implausible the 'official line' on 9/11 is. (Also refer back to the previous historic events.)

Then go on to talk about all that has been justified on the back of 9/11.

Secret beam weapons and no plane theories, may one day be proved to be correct, but to the average person in the street, you just come over as a loony if you launch straight in to that.

It's just my opinion but all the arguing around theory and counter theory takes an enormous amount of time and energy. Surely the best way of getting new people questioning the official line is to get them researching and asking questions. What they find down the line is down to them.

You mean like Operation Northwoods!

Absolutely! The "Unspinning the truth" roadshow is making a huge contribution in that direction!

As Darren from the Manchester 911 truth group stated, though to facilitate that process everyone has to proactively "walk the talk" and look for and take those 911 truth awakening opportunities.

Ask yourself before you sleep tonight what I have I done today for the 911 truth campaign!

Spot on Busker

This is precisely the most effective way to frame the message IMO and it starts to place 9/11 in its proper context.

What was Martin Amis on? what did he slur? the funding for 9/11 came from Afghanistan??? Didn't the 911 commission conclude they didn't know where the money came from...and that there was no point in following the money anyway?

Amis disgusted me.

Given that he is a writer of 9/11 fiction, his high regard for his own opinions seems ridiculous.

David Davis' praise of Bush Snr's handling of Iraq prior to the first Gulf War was laughable...

"Yes David, but did Bush not also fund the entire Iraqi army and therby arm those who would be fighting US soldiers within a few years"?

I was also sickened to hear that old 'Ahmedinajad said Israel should be wiped off the map' line again considering it is has been shown that

a) he was quoting a Khomenei speech
b) the actual translation is 'the coocupation of Palestine should be erased from the pages of time'

anyone who has read the speech the quote is (incorrectly) taken from will know that he proposed a one state solution with Jews and Muslims living side by side

also, Ruth Kelly is the most uncharismatic speaker ever and needs a haircut

that is all

We need to be thinking how in ten seconds we can say something on programmes like Question Time that will elicit a big round of applause whilst steering people in the right direction.

Here's my suggestion when David points to me and say 'yes, you in the strippy jumper and tin foil hat':

"Thank you. This whole debate on Iraq is a charade. Within 9 days of 9/11 Blair and Bush had made a secret pact for the Iraq War and then spent the next 18 months lying to us and the House of Commons. He lied when he said 'no decision had been taken'. He lied about weapons of mass destruction. Blair should be impeached and a comprehensive public inquiry held into this war. While we are at we should public inquiries in 9/11 , 7/7 and the probable murder of David Kelly"

Cue rapturous applause

of course dimbleby skipped the question about the cia.

i would ask "what do the panel think about dimbleby skipping certain tough questions?"

c&p from general forum

There were a few audience comments being ignored by the panel, but applauded by the audience.
The first was the guy in the suit saying bush and blair would at some point be charged with crimes against humanity.Though Dimbleby did repeat the full question, the panel never mentioned the crimes against humanity bit.

The next was reference to PNAC and withdrawel, which was ignored due to another comment from the audience which was related to.

Another girl mentioned the Afghan and Iraqi deaths, and that there was no connecting these people to 9/11,of course the illusion was maintained by Amiss who under his breath stated the hijackers were funded by Afghanistan.
That was the comment that was attacked by the girl saying the cia funded the terrorists, and that America should be attacking themselves.

Which was well applauded by the audience, which of course was followed by Dimbleby "Let's move on, we'll take another question but before we do after christmas we'll be....and you can watch edited highlights of QT again on..." of course this will not include those comments of fact that are a bit awkward to answer.

The next question was about Cameron's leadership and policyskills, so it was all smiles, laughter and lightness.Phew I think they think they got away with that one!

An utterly transparent excercise in obscurantism,as per usual.

And yes I reckon because QT is a national TV event, those "proveable facts" which are of course not mentioned, can easily be verified and shown to be ignored by the "panel", and to the even larger extent the mass media.

I have a feeling QT in it's present format will not be around much longer, too many awkward questions are being asked with to much applause.

Not quite. They concluded the money trail led to someone who couldn't have been involved...

Ruth Kelly has attended the secret Catholic society Opus Dei meetings and is said to be a member, which she hasn't denied.

I'm a tad uncomfortable with that.

This isn't a comment about any religious matter since I am agnostic.

A black guy, as I recall, in the QT studio audience made the good point that for Bush or Bliar to apologise would be an admission of guilt and lay them open to war crimes charges, Dimble' chose not to pursue this, I don't think any of the panel fancied it.
