Exterior and floor structures are down, away and in a cloud of dust, yet large sections of core are only just peeling apart
Seems to undermine mini-nuke in basement theory
Seems to undermine progressive downwards CD of the core theory
Any ideas?

I figure the smoke/dust seen coming off the end of a core column to the left is suggestive of thermate. Remember one properties of a thermite reaction is the creation of aluminum oxide!
As for the core standing it's worth remembering that it did collapse a few seconds later and it went straight down. If only some of the core columns were being cut we could speculate that if some of the charges/devices didn't ignite then a portion of the core would remain intact. Then we could speculate that lower core charges did ignite and cause the remaining core to simply drop straight down as seen on video footage.

Is the 'hijacked' part integral to the effect on the building? What if the authorised pilot just has a migraine and hits a building?
