Official - switched-off mobiles can bug you

I have heard on a number of occasions that mobiles can be used by the powers-that-be to listen in to your conversations even when switched off. Well, it's now on public record with Craig Murray's 'Murder in Samarkand', where he states just that. And as our ex-Ambassador to Uzbekistan, he is in a position to know. I suspect this is the reason the Authorities don't want to use phone-tap evidence in court, as this could expose their capabilities (I believe they have said this themselves, about 'capabilities', but obviously not that they can 'listen in' via switched-off mobiles). No need to get paranoid; just be aware. And some good news - Craig may be coming to our Christmas do at the Knights Templar!!

Even if they're off, cellphones allow FBI to listen in

It should come as no surprise that cellphone calls may be tapped by law enforcement.

But authorities also can use cellphones to eavesdrop on suspects, even when the devices are off.

The FBI converted the Nextel cellphones of two alleged New York mobsters into "roving bugs," microphones that relayed conversations when the phones seemed to be inactive, according to recent court documents.

Authorities won't reveal how they did this. But a countersurveillance expert said Nextel, Motorola Razr and Samsung 900 series cellphones can be reprogrammed over the air, using methods meant for delivering upgrades and maintenance. --

If you're paranoid about it wrap some aluminium foil around your phone. This will knock it out dead.

But yes I'm sure they listen in on anybody they want to listen in on.

Mobiles are mostly linked into the GPS
They can also track you from your local mobile phone/death mast. This isn't the primary purpose of the latter which is about control of the population and the earth's changing frequency
The elite will be exposed pretty soon which is why they need the mobile network to modulate the frequency waves, which they hope to transmit to your chip implant
Your mobile not only monitors your behaviour but is one gateway to control of such
