Question regarding victims of Sept 11th

I was living in London when the events took place.

I distinctly remember the press (was it the BBC ?, I'm not sure..) broadcasting that one of the regulars of the TV comedy improvisation show 'Whose Line is it Anyway ?' died on one of the flights on Sept 11th.

Now I'm not certain of this, but I'm pretty sure that it was the tall lanky American chap.

I would be very grateful if somebody would enlighten me on this matter.
