URGENT!
The venue has changed for next Monday's 911 social event. Our usual pub, the Barley Mow, has mysteriously become unavailable - I suspect the forces of darkness, as the staff were very interested and supportive.
Our social event will now be held on Monday 3 April at The Old Bank of England pub, 194 Fleet Street (nearest tubes: Chancery Lane and Temple). The room will be available from 8pm onwards, but we shall be congregating in the bar from 7pm, for those who are keen.
Let's make this a night to remember, as more and more people are joining the London group. Bring your friends, and let's get them involved too.
Regards

Those would be the same forces of darkness who have pulled the scheduled 911 debate on CNN and who cancelled a venue in Torrington booked by Ian C for one of his lectures, but only told him when he arrived to give it, I presume.
Are these clear signs that, to take Schopenhaur's maxim,
"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident,"
we are now moving beyond the ridicule stage?
Encouraging?

Hey Annie, here's a crazy question for you and David. If you were still working for the Intel services what would they feel towards this group and what kind of things would they do to undermine it etc?
Would they not threat because we're not media savvy or would they still try infiltrate the group?
Thanx. |

Hi Ally
All I would say on the forum is:
"You're not paranoid if they really are out to get you!"
Next time we're in Yorks, let's meet for a coffee.
Regards

I hadn't checked for updated since around Thursday, having come down with a bit of a bout of flu. So on Monday I turned up at Barley Bow and met Any Thomas from Brighton (Lewis), Scot and two newcomers Nic and Felix. Not much of a social. It's a pity nobody could have left a note, for those of us who forgot to check for updates.
Anyway hope you had a great time.

Very sorry for the less than perfect planning. Annie was away until just before the meeting. I suggest you email Annie or Noel (Xmasdale) and make sure you are on the London list and that next announcement we ensure there are 2 or 3 mobile numbers on there for people to ring on the night just in case. We always try to keep a regular venue, but the Barleymow double booked themselves (allegedly)
Apologies again |

Hi Neilg and Felix
Sorry about the mix up. I have a horrible feeling that we shall encounter the same problem again and again, so shall have to keep moving the venue. If you can, please check the forum on the day of the meetings to confirm all the details.
I look forward to meeting you soon. (Venue TBA!)
Regards
