Offensive Avatars

Can I request the moderators to remove offensive avatars - the one of dogsmilk makes me feel physically sick and the one of Patrick Brown makes me mad.

So you're calling for censorship of avatars that are not to your personal taste? I'm struck by your devotion to individual freedom of expression. I mean mine is rather ugly(inevitable with anything involving Blair - I personally feel it's just more accurate), but to highlight Patrick's is ridiculous. It's just some bloke. Perhaps I should send you a selection of possible avatars and you could choose which one meets with your divine approval? Is this your board now? Am I in the presence of its king? Should I kneel?

What's interesting, TTWSU3, is the thinking behind your position:

1/I don't like something
2/It should be removed

How ordinary people exert their will in the trivial and mundane is an indicator of their core attitudes. Rulers, being ordinary people with extraordinary power, have the ability to express their core attitudes in a grand fashion regarding serious matters of consequence.

I'm glad you don't have power.

If it's fake, there's something dodgy going on. If it's real, no-one has managed to explain it to me yet.

I'm changing mine soon - I'm thoroughly sick of the bunny - I dont take too much notice of the avatars generally, but I do take aversion to some, perhaps in line with their postings. For example, I do find Patrick's avatar creepy and obnoxious, but that's associated with the nature of his postings, though I'm sure I'd find him to be a nice guy in real life
Conversely, I acknowledge Dogsmilk's avatar as rather sickeningly perverse,but know him to be a good guy in real life, and always circumspect in his postings
This is just one of the setbacks with the internet

Prior to the banning episode, I was spending far too much time on the internet and away from the really important aspects of my life. Up until around August of last year I was playing guitar 6 - 8 - 10 hours a day and obviously this tailed off and was compromised by beam weapons and holograms.

I have subsequently thrown myself back into the whole recording thing and my latest self-penned album is all but finished. In fact I have really got into the whole jazz/rock/fusion thing again and my sorties here are really just respites while my fretting hand recovers from intense and concentrated sessions.

So to answer your question, I would have to go with the 'or what' option at this juncture.
