Abu Izzadeen arrested

Abu Izzadeen was arrested this morning 8.2.7, the first person to be arrested under Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006 for suspicion of encouraging terrorism.

He is thought to have published a statement that is likely to be understood by some or all of the members of the public to whom they are published as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to them to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism or Convention offences.

The video to which the charge relates is this one, made in Birmingham on the eve of the 1st anniversary of 7.7 on 6.7.2006, exactly 31 weeks ago.
