This is email I just received from a friend. Does anyone have some more info about it? You can also sign petition to oppose new legislation.

Quote:
Please forward if interested:

Sarah Kennedy was on about this proposed car tax scheme on the radio apparently there is only one month left to register your objection to the 'Pay as you go' road tax.

The petition is on the 10 Downing St website but they didn't tell anybody about it. Therefore at the time of Sarah's comments only 250,000 people had signed it so far and 750,000 signatures are required to stop them introducing it.

This is legit... from the 10 Downing Street's website.

Once you've given your details (you don't have to give your full address, just house number and postcode will do), they will send you an email with a link in it. Once you click on that link, you'll have signed the petition.

Democracy in action?

The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working mother who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.

On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit in time you can probably expect a Notice of Intended Prosecution with your monthly bill.

If you care about our freedom and stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website (link
below) and pass this on to as many people as possible.

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/

Sign up if you are in agreement with the petition - if not just forget it.

I just realised this one should go to General Fourm. I do apologise. Please move it.

Since Tony Blair, if Enigma TV are correct, appears to be a Rose-Croix freemason this image is particularly apposite

Paraphrasing author Frederick Forsythe on Newsnight, 9.2.7 discussing climate change:

"The Romans were growing grapes as far north as Hadrians Wall"

Ken Clarke's response:

"Yes and the furthest north they are grown today is Lincolnshire"

This has been the plan for decades. Northstar has been a feature in the US now for years and years.

First they tage your livestock, then your vehicles, now your cloths and money and soon it will be us.

Its a tracking device you have in all American vehicles. The premise and main purpose is supposed to be that if you break down, no matter where you are assistance is dispatched to your exact location and no doubt it is used that way as you have to pay a service charge for it like the AA or RAC.

But recent court cases with the FBI have revielde that they can use the system to listen to you or whoever is in the vehicle at all times and have used it in the past to do it and are still doing it.

I think so or at least its getting there. But I believe most if not all new vehicles have them but I could be wrong.

Thanks.

It's just that I wonder how enforcement will work when it becomes compulsory for vehicles to have one of these devices over here.

I'm thinking about traffic cameras that will record any vehicles that do not emit a signal when passing.

Well its simple really. We have already seen them do it with the recall for older model vehicles for money. All they have to do is install these devices (which they are) into all new vehicles and slowly but surely old vehicles will be phased out.
