Cosmic rays blamed for global warming

Man-made climate change may be happening at a far slower rate than has been claimed, according to controversial new research.
Scientists say that cosmic rays from outer space play a far greater role in changing the Earth's climate than global warming experts previously thought.
In a book, to be published this week, they claim that fluctuations in the number of cosmic rays hitting the atmosphere directly alter the amount of cloud covering the planet.
High levels of cloud cover blankets the Earth and reflects radiated heat from the Sun back out into space, causing the planet to cool.
Henrik Svensmark, a weather scientist at the Danish National Space Centre who led the team behind the research, believes that the planet is experiencing a natural period of low cloud cover due to fewer cosmic rays entering the atmosphere.
This, he says, is responsible for much of the global warming we are experiencing.
He claims carbon dioxide emissions due to human activity are having a smaller impact on climate change than scientists think. If he is correct, it could mean that mankind has more time to reduce our effect on the climate............. |

That can't be true !
David Milibrain said "the climate change debate is now closed"
David Milibrain has also started to use the word "climate change deniers".
Mind you, David Milibrain has yet to explain the causes of global warming on Mars as NASA reports.
No SUVs up there.
Are there ?

Next they'll be telling you they need to cool the planet down with chemtrails. Strangely, these will appear only over populated areas...

A POV that's become clear to me recently is that its all interesting, but from another level irrelevant. Is it solar radiation? Is it mankinds activities? Is it happening? Is it not? thats not what the real issue is: we love explanations, but they have a lot more to do with being sops for our ego and our mind than gaining a true understanding:
The way we use our one and only planet is RETARDED
Once we collectively grasp that, it all gets easier from there

OK Beardie. What's yr formula for planetary harmonee? How would you run the show? Or should I say, have the show run itself?
Me? I suggest we put everything on a big board and let the world make its own decisions.

I look forward to seeing how many 'experts' on the Channel 4 programme make reference to the Oregon Petition or are members of the bogus scientific organisation that is TASSC.
Both OP and TASSC have achieved more for the denial industry than most but oh dear, the former is much promoted by Esso and the latter is a construct of Philip Morris (that's right, the tabacco company!) |
