To download videos from youtube, google video etc, I've been using a website called keepvid.com, I have to get them in FLV format and convert them so i can watch them, the only problem is that the converter leaves its logo as a watermark in the top left hand corner. Does anybody know of a good program I can use for converting that doesn't leave a watermark? Or even a better website I can use so I can download them in avi format?

thanks

This free FLV player can play them without further conversion.

Thanks for the responses guys. I actually need the videos in AVI or MPEG format so what I really need is a good converter. I realise that I may not get a free one that doesn't leave a watermark but I could always get one from a torrent site if somebody knew the name of a decent program.

Thanks for the offer to make me a program sarah, very generous of you, but hopefully I won't need you to go to any trouble if I can get what I'm looking for from a torrent site. Wink

I've recently switched to Linux more than Windows. (I dual boot)

They have a ton of software that eliminates the need to buy or `find' software.

Worth considering as a second resort one day maybe.

All Free e.g: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgNxlb2fgiQ

You may like this site. This site converts YouTube videos on the spot and then hosts the conversation for you to download.

Try this http://www.vdownloader.info/uk/
Downloads straight to avi or mpg format and avoids the flv conversion process. Seems to work fine. Very Happy

This codec also converts google gvi to avi
