Thank you for that excellent demonstration of the inadequacy of analysing video compressed for web presentation. Loss of detail, particularly in fast moving objects on bright backgrounds can be witnessed in most heavily compressed video. This is a perfect example of it.
If CNN had actually wanted to 'cover up' the object, you would see nothing but blue sky where it had once been, however the object is still quite visible, even in this version you accuse them of editing. They must have put the work experience guy onto this job, right?
As for what the object is, see the former posters reply.
Shame. It would have been handy to find missile parts in the street, instead of plane parts.
