I have been watching LC2 recently. With regards to the squibs seen as the building comes down, could this not be the internal flooring dropping quicker than the walls and sending out debris as a result? I haven't had time to do enough research on this as yet but thought that someone else on the forum could help me debunk this. |

Hi,
The common reaction is that the pressure of the pancake collapse is causing the air to be pushed out "explosively". The following point should be considered:
The squibs are many floors below the demolition/explosion wave - if the air pressure was that strong, air would vent out of the top of the building or other small holes - the building was not so airtight as to channel the air in such a collapse into a few isolated "holes".
It is my belief that the building was demolished "top down" to enhance this illusion.
