In Soviet Britain civil servants soldiers and police stand to lose their livelihoods and pensions if they tell the truth. (Thus the socialist elite are proctected by bribed footsoldiers). If they keep mum, they are rewarded.
7 soldiers arrested a bunch of Iraqis, broke many bones and beat one to death. At the trial it was established all were involved, but only one confessed. He got a year, discharged and lost his pension. The other six denied the charges and were acquitted. This was revealed on 5 live today but not on the BBC website.
