This represents a continuation of the onwards and upwards trend.

February 2007 is a record registration month, for the shortest month of the year.

Everytime we walk the talk we take a leap forward (eg Sept 2006: David Ray Griffin) towards that critcal mass.

Hi Pikey,

In March the mods deleted a load of accounts that were obviously spam logins (they registered with listing their websites as vi*grashop.com and the like) so the total is down.

More interesting is the rise of visitors this site is getting - about 4,000 visits a day! This site seems like it has about 200 lurkers to one poster!

Shame we can't get them to register and say hi!

How much actual analysis is there here?

As of today, 939 members have never made a post and 170 have only made one post.

Taking a sample of recent 'recruits' with zero posts it it pretty obvious that, euphemistically speaking, they aren't likely to be signing any petitions:

And as we have seen, spambots often make a single post or sometimes have sprees of 'evangelism' to share their 'good news' about celebrity porn.

I'd hazard a guess that there are about 400 bogus spambot accounts and that the real membership is probably closer to 1250.

Until steps have been taken to deal with the problem I think it is unhelpful to present figures which are obviously baseless 'analysis'. When this happens we will inevitably see a sharp drop in membership.

To be honest, i'm not sure how much good pettitions do.

I've seen petitions handed in to 10 Downing street before in the past, and i've wonderd if they even get looked at or taken notice of.

Or do the pages and pages of signitures just go straight in the bin or shedder?.

I very much in two minds as to signing petitions (any petitions) as i'm very doubtfull of the effect and impact that they have and their ability to effect change.

Can anyone give me an example of when a petition has caused a change in favour of the people who have signed that petition?.

Out of the total for this month I would estimate that about only a third are bonafide.

Spam/shill attack has in the past only been an insignificant issue/minor problem. Either our mods have gone on strike or since Flames alert this site is under attack.

Checkout the evidence. It starts at member nos 1736 on page 58. The characteristics are jumbled up letters for names, international locations, porn,etc websites.

Out of the total for this month I would estimate that only 10% are bonafide. An anlaysis of the IP addresses of the 90% of those registered with jumbled up letters for names, international locations, porn,etc websites maybe a worthwile exercise

The Cumulative total registration has gone down indicating that we have lost members either/or through individual choice or admin/mod action. This may be attributable to the access problems that have plagued the site over the last few months.

Effective admin/moderation of the site appears to have been lost

I hope for the sake of the campaign that a solution can be found soon.

The user registration numbers are a meaningless measure since people come and go and many registrations are bogus (porn, etc) and are never activated.

A truer measure is the web traffic data found on the front page although until we move ISP the site will continue to be strangled by poor performance.
