Rageh Omaar: The Scud Stud aims for truth
http://news.independent.co.uk/media/article484048.ece
This isn't entirely 9/11 related but having witnessed Regeh Omaar's wartime coverage in Iraq, which largely reflected the version propagated by the other imbeds, it is interesting that he now works for Al Jazeera (an independent former tentacle of the World Service) and questions the official truth stating that Western news organisations are perpetrating a 'fraud' on their viewers with their misleading coverage of the war in Iraq. His was the popular face of Iraqi reporting, earning him the monikers 'Bagdhad Rageh' and 'The Scud Stud'.
This artcle endorses the state of reporting from Iraq which was outlined by Linsey Hilsum on Channel Four last Monday, that Western reporters cannot get access to anything outside the 'Green Zone' in Iraq, that they are dependent on reports made by Iraqi journalists (who apparently ask the wrong questions) and are subjected to heavy censorship of footage deemed to graphic to domestic viewers. Jon Snow, the programmme's presenter stated, quite subjectively, that people ought to see the reality of the war they are supporting.
Incidentally, having read his column on Saturday in The Independent, I wouldn't bank on the support of Robert Fisk as a 9/11 skeptic. He made a passing comment about September 11th which could have easily been excluded. Nobody who doubts the official story would 'accidentally' endorse it. |

Well done Rageh Omar.
As for Robert Fisk, he answered a question from a 9/11 truth seeker at a meeting in London with words to the effect that he knows there are a lot of unexplained things about the 9/11 attacks but he doesn't really doubt the official story. Perhaps someone else who was at that meeting can remember his exact words.
