Advert for July 7?

Can we get a reduced price for a full-page ad in The Independent on July 7? Better idea than another film?

Interesting idea. Why not PM Tony Gosling and see if he wants to change his pledge idea to a collection for an ad?

I would certainly throw a score at it.

Why not use the pledge site that Tony used ot start a seperate project?

I would pledge money for the ad, and have done for the DVD.

i think it will get media coverage from other newspapers as well
but we must find some high profile people to sign it like celebrities or pop stars

£10k is their rate card rate and would give us a choice of page although is also negotiable. You could more than likley pick a page up for about £2k if left till the day before, although no guarantee on position. The independent has rubbish circulation though and you would be better off going for the Guardian IMO. We could try the Metro, as I know the ad manager??

Yeah Metro would be poignant as it's circulated throughout the London underground system.

I'm pretty much on my own (Birmingham area if anyone is around) when it comes to the truth but I'm sure some of you guys must have a few contacts.
This sounds like a good idea to me.

Cool, I'll get in touch with my contact at the Metro. We'd have to do it on friday 6th as it only prints Mon-Fri. I'll contact the J7 guys and get their input too.

Obviously the METRO will be reasonably cheap as it is a free magazine but it also has a wide reradership. It is owned by the Daily Mail.

We would make the advert a list of questions?

with links to the various websites at the bottom.
It would also help to have an active contact number as this advert might get read by nearly a million people many would want to get involved.

the only thing is they might not let us put the advert in inless your mate is pretty strong

I'm afraid the opposite is true. As it is free and widely circulated then the advertising is expensive with a full colour page £22K!! I will get in contact with the lad i know and see how far they can move on this as it says that their prices are fixed at £95.20 SCC for colour.

I expected lists pf politicians name and addresses, Councillors names and addresses, newspaper contact info and ad media galore to be on a forum such as this, and split into regions, UK wide meets etc. and apart from Andrew.... I can't find anything particularly useful.

Orange just kicked me off Broadband.... what with 14 day until the cease order completes and then another 10 day wait to be connected via someone else... its a month with no decent connection. Beware. Migration codes are apparently useless in this scenario

not a real newspaper just a a3 leaflet folded to look like a newspaper

larger amounts less pro rata

"Release the Evidence" ad that Keith Mothersson put in the Indie was at a much reduced rate as I recall. Can we contact him?
