Just sharing a random thought I had the other day here...
Everyday I get the train in and out of manchester, the other day I was sat on the train home, thinking about 9/11 and general reality/propaganda/social conditioning stuff.. as i often do...
Amongst all these people, all sitting silently. All facing the same direction, wating to get home.
It just got me thinking about getting the word out and stuff. We spend so much time sat on trains, planes, buses, cars.. in the silent company of many other people like us. Yet we rarely talk to any of them about anything even slightly important. Personally I guess I'm scared of doing something so random, I'm scared of looking like a looney.
then I started looking at all the signs on the train. 'no smoking', 'fire exit', 'smash glass here in emergency'. And I started thinking about taking pictures of them with my phone. taking them home and using my PC to create new signs in the same font/style which would read 'no coverup. 9/11 was an inside job.' or maybe 'put down the metro and look for the real news' with web adresses on. or something. and sticking them over the train signs. I'd bet 9/10 people with internet access who noticed something as peculiar as that would check the site out!
its a bit naughty. but would be fun
ooer. Am I mad?
Has anyone else been straining their mind as to different methods as to how to get the truth out? _________________ "During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act" |

A great idea Timmy,
Any budding graphic designers out there?
The idea was used here:

Yeh I really like the idea of subverting common signage - it seems to have a pretty good rate of sticking in peoples' minds. Somebody on the forum did suggest a kind of subtle poster campaign but it never really went further than an idea. I did actually come up with a load of subtle messages (and I mean a load of them) for such a campaign, and I'll dig them out if anyone is thinking of doing this.
Likewise, although I don't touch design, we do have a couple of graphic designers, a couple of illustrators and a typography person that work on our little magazine, and I can always blag some of their time and skills for worthy projects. Our mag is behind the movement all the way so if anyone has the ideas / text for a leaflet, poster, CD sleeve, etc then just give me a shout and I'll get someone on the job.
Sinclair, I like that one, where did you find it? |

I remember it being around just after July 2005. I found it from Google Image Search. |
