Ok, right...

I've been meaning to make a thread about this for a while.
It might not get too much exposure in the Campaigning section..but..

I think it might be a pretty good idea for everyone to find their local cinema (most probably an indie cinema) and then post the cinemas contact details on this board, in this thread.........so that everyone can send emails/letters or make phone calls to each one and show your interest in having Loose Change: Final Cut shown on their screen.

The more they are contacted, the higher chance of them actually screening it.
Also, including the contact details of the Loose Change crew...
I think this is it......

MY local indie cinema is probably the Tyneside Cinema and the contact details are here http://www.tynecine.org/talk/ and there's a online form right there which you can write to them with.

I'll write them out here too....

Ok, I'll add some more if I find any from round my way.

If anyone has a really good email/letter template that people can use and modify then post if here too.....if you want.
Although I think the more individual the email reads, the better.

so i guess it's a bit unrealistic to expect Odeon to show Loose Change?

they have a monopoly in my area

Well, you know....it might not hurt to send them an Email about it.

I know they are less likely to show it but an email costs nothing and takes 5 mins, max.

I just know that small local indie cinemas (and halls that can screen publically) will really be interested in showing it if they are made aware of an audience. That's why we need to tell them.

Here are a couple of others from where I live...

Ah, nice one Busker....I forgot about the Gala Theatre. Smile

Emails are going out to all these places....Everyone else MUST do the same if we want to show our support and get this film shown.

Dear Aron

Thank you for your email.

Please check the film listings for each week, if the film is listed in the schedule
then it will be showing. At present we do not have a release date for this film.

Are there plans to show Loose Change Final Cut in Chelmsford at any time?

The most precise officail word on the release is....

"We will release our new film Loose Change Final Cut on the weekend preceding September 11th 2007, with screenings planned in key cities in the United States. Where we can’t release theatrically we will release online through pay-per-view. Already distributors in the UK, Australia, Norway, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Sweden, France, Finland, Italy, and Japan are clamouring for rights to show the film in movie theatres and television stations are making bids to show the film soon after theatrical release"

This is one of the variants of my emails that I have been sending to all the small, local indie places...

Quote:
Hello and good day,

I am writing to you on behalf of myself and many others who are very interested in the upcoming independent documentary film “Loose Change: Final Cut” which will be hitting U.S theatres in September 2007 from ‘Louder Than Words’ productions.

The film (created by Dylan Avery, Jason Bermas, and war veteran Korey Rowe) has gone through a few transformations, with the first and second editions having being watched by tens of millions across the globe, it truly is an internet phenomenon.

The final edition is to differ somewhat from the previous versions and has been fact-checked for accuracy by Dr. David Ray Griffin. The scope of viewship is such that recently American billionaire Mark Cuban and his 29/29 entertainment group have agreed to back the film.
Cuban is the owner of the “Dallas Mavericks” NBA franchise and chairman of HDTV cable company “HDNet”.

There is a lot of public support for this film in the UK but mainstream cinemas are unlikely to care. This is why local, independent theatres and arts centres are vitally important as they can offer new, groundbreaking work that deserves and needs to be shown to the world.

I hope you will consider showing this film if in any way possible and below this email I will include all the necessary contact details for ‘Louder Than Words’ productions and the Loose Change crew.

Thank you,

Gareth Williams.
