Hi Rayelan, I live in London and didn`t take that much interest until I read this post, this was my first real look at the London Olympic logo.

If you look carefully, it actually spells "ZION". Forget the top right fragment, as I think this represents "London" and start top left "Z", below "I", then a little "o" followed by an "N" on its side..."ZION".

I first saw this last night. I didn't see Zion, but my first reaction was

"You know when there's an evil fascistic alien race in a Sci Fi film, it looks exactly like how they'd design their flag"

There's reversed SS slashes in there and the whole looks like a dissembled or disguised swastika.
Pretty much sums up the social organisation they hope to have in place by the 2012 Olympics

The 2012 logo is the worst logo i have ever seen.
It ranks with barclays B2 logo and burger kings ad campaign what else can you buy for £1.99? Eyebrow Razors or a burger king.

I agree it is an appallingly awful logo. My 4-year-old son could have done one better for only £200k!

Regarding the "ZION" thing, personally I think it is a case of people looking to see things in this abstract representation of the number "2012". Of course, the number 2 can look like a "Z" or an "N" and the numbers 0 and 1 look very similar to an "O" and an "I". So any design incorporating those numbers is likely to risk looking like an anagram of "ZION" (boo, hiss!!). So what?

I think this logo is horrible. To me it sums up all there is wrong with our country.
I have seen far more attractive graffitti sprayed onto the shutters of my local shops!

I wonder if all the controversey about this logo is deliberate just to keep the Olympricks in the news. Maybe they've no plan to use this design.

Please note that wolffolins have changed their website since I put that link on yesterday. The (all-seeing) eye close-up has disappeared, as have many of the links. They've cleaned it up and made it so less creepy.
I repeat that swastika/rune sigel SS reversed/zion are announcements of their achieved 2012 agenda.
