Air France 1998 - Black boxes switched

Someone at PFT found the initial story for this and I`ve found some very interesting reports on this Air France crash at an airshow in 1998.

Why shouldn't one believe the official version?
Consider the following argument: If anything was OK with the aircraft, why did the DGAC withhold the tapes until the police confiscated them? Why are there several seconds missing in the recordings, just before the impact? Why have the Black Boxes been substituted? The people interested in the success of the aircraft would be stupid if they aroused unnecessarily suspicion and rumours.

Why should someone who has a clear conscience behave in a suspicious way? That's why I think it's difficult to believe that the investigation was in order.

Should one wish to be discreet, there is a fighter airbase quite close at Colmar, for example. A
liaison aircraft with the precious false boxes could land there and fly back with the real ones
once the switch was made. It was surprising to see an Air Force helicopter a few dozen yards
away from the car in which Mr Gérard testified having put the recorders after he had taken
them from the A320. What was that helicopter doing there?
