Just watched Micheal Moore's new film "Sicko". This is his best film so far, period. Heart wrenching Documentary about the people of the US who have no free health service or have insurance and got screwed by the greedy american corporations, while seemingly most of the world has health care that is given by your condition and not by your donation to corrupt health insurance companies.
A full 2 hours long, even living in the UK this got me furious and upset the way the American governent treats its citizens, yet again.
Great section on the 9/11 rescuers and there ailments and there lack of care and treatment.
While being more of an Alex Jones and David Icke follower this has turned the tables on my outlook of Moore.
Trailer here:-

P.s. if you get the torrent, buy the film when it comes out as of course i will be doing, thanks. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/infowarrior_uk |

Was just about to post a very similar topic having just laughed and cryed my way through the film!
Micheal Moore has perhaps just spoken out (in his own way) properly for 9/11 truthers. Dont expect TV fakery, demolition, who did what etc but he has made his statement. He covers worldwide healthcare programs, admittedly on probably cherrypicked info as usual but this time he makes the fuller comparison. From the US to Cananda, to the UK, (making me remember why I will fight for free NHS dentistry upon graduation, not that I needed reminding), to taking 9/11 first responders to Gitmo and Cuba where life seems a little better, despite the socialised systems and anti Castro US propaganda.
He's on a winner here and throughout has made his own statement re: 9/11, that will at the least hit the screens worldwide due to a lack of controversial aspects. It will make a difference! Particularly as it shows that the citizens of countries who do take a stand against power in the name of (what should be universal) real democracy, however faked at present can make a difference and MUST do so, by powers of numbers on the street making their governments afraid of them and towing the line. Something the Brits and US have been conditioned against supporting as you all know.
I realise Mike didn't tow the inside job line but this will leave enough food for thought in my opinion of a false sense of patriotism exposed, that will be a bitter enough taste to wake up to.

Mick,
I would just say clever lad. Buying shares in a company doesn't make them money, just you if it goes up which I'm pretty sure he know it would. If he bought the shares pre 9/11 then it may be different story.
Fahrenheit 9/11 did help stir my interest in the topic so shouldn't be knocked. Give a skeptic that, then Press for Truth, the Improbable Collpase and Explosive Reality is better than just going staright in with the final 2.
Not seen him be dismissive of the topic too.
Also,

I love Michael Moore. He is a man that gets people asking questions and he gets it mainstream. We can always ask for more, but what he does we should appreciate still. |

thanks for sharing. interesting film - and I'm glad he chose to devote a significant part of it to the stories of those ground zero workers who were initially lauded as heroes and then left to rot. heartbreaking really.... |

I agree. There are whole reams of stuff he doesn't touch but he's doing his bit. It's instructive how intense the negative elite reactions are to the truth-lite he reveals. Imagine if we could get proper disclosure into MSM!!!

Go get peerguardian2: http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/
Then get utorrent: http://www.utorrent.com
Install and follow instructions, you will need to set up port forwarding for utorrent through your firewall which is easy and there is a tutorial on the utorrent site if you have problems.
Peerguardian is essential for p2p, install that first. Choose these lists:
Ads, Government, P2P, Spyware, update the lists. Set it to auto update every 2 days, turn off 'block http' and 'notify on http blocks' and tick 'hide window on close'
Then load torrent, specify folder and away ya go.
Oh yeah and make sure ya seed to at least a 1:1 ratio |

Hiya Zabooka,
It was the "now what do I do?" bit that threw me.
Amount of times over the years someone has said " i cant play this damn torrent file" heheh
Never mind, maybe someone else will find the info useful.

My sarcasm detectors are flashing red
I think we may need a smilie for such times.
This is a fairly well used one for sarcasm or jokes that lets others know your intent, then again there isnt too much humour here of course, but maybe there should be:
this--><--this
If yer reading this mods then i'd recommend it.
Just in case you are serious:
You cant play a torrent file. Its just a small file that tells your bittorrent client where to get the media file you are after i.e. .wmv, .avi etc
Once you have downloaded the film you need a media player to play it in.
You also need codecs that allow windoze to read the way the film has been encoded. Unless you use VLC media player which i highly recommend, it comes with all codecs ready to go and even plays image files (bin/cue):
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Now if that doesnt help i will track you down!

Not sure if this will apply to your version of the film Zabooka but my torrent would only run with sound in all players, even VLC until I added this codec : ffdshow found here http://www.free-codecs.com/FFDShow_download.htm (the top one) then it works a treat and is high quality. Standard Michael Moore fayre, really.
It isn't to be condemned but he aims his sights squarely at the heart strings of the lowest common denominator and does it very effectively.
My primary criticism, however, is how he portrayed the treatment of the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. It was too convenient a fulcrum for his dual juxtaposition between the medical care of 9/11 rescue workers and 'perpetrators' and Guantanamo Bay prisoners and their reluctant host nation.
There is also a deep latent prejudice within the freedom campaigners in the US against anything resembling socialism and I anticipate that there will be heat from the second amendment wing about the notion of universal health care.
Very watchable and a nice poignant touché with Jim Kenefick of www.moorewatch.com - though he has lunged forth from his back foot with spiteful ingratitude. |
