'Terrorist' Attacks and the 2006 World Cup

During my discussions both at work, on the street and on another music messageboard I have had people say to me that they 'feel' something may take place at the World Cup. I suspect that their 'feelings' could be bang on the money considering that there will be a large and multicultural population in the same place. Any thoughts on this?

I think if they did it, it would be near the end. PTB wouldn't score an "own goal" by distrupting their own multi-billion pound money making event too much (disguised as sporting entertainment).

Nothing to stop a fake attack in some non-world cup country though - such as the USA...

I've heard many an evil little rumour that the Combat 18 groups from all over Europe are planning a little rendevous in Holland and Germany this year. Also the rise in membership has gone seemingly unnoticed by the mainstream press, which makes me very suspicious.
When I do, I work on building sites, and it is a growing concern for me that the toilet blocks have become increasingly adorned in swastikas over the last two years. Of course I also think that grey low flying planes are spraying us with chemical, so maybe I'm reading too much into it.
