Just got back from the studio filming of Channel 4's final Iraq Commission programme with Mohsin and Toseef. It will be shown tonight at 7:30.

The final part of the programme contains a satellite interview from Washington with 911 Commission Vice Chairman Lee Hamilton. His endorsement of the Iraq report was a hideously glowing one.

There was alas no opportunity for a Q&A.

The final report should be downloadable from: http://www.channel4.com/news/microsites/I/the_iraq_commission/findings .html

Quote:

Channel Four in conjunction with The Foreign Policy Centre has facilitated a UK Iraq Commission - the British equivalent of the US Iraq Survey Group. The Commission is an independent cross party body that will produce recommendations on the future of Britain's role in Iraq. It is jointly chaired by former Liberal Democrat leader Paddy Ashdown, Labour's Margaret Jay, a previous leader in the House of Lords and the former Conservative Defence Secretary Tom King.

In conjunction with 9 Commissioners drawn from some of our most respected diplomats, soldiers, intelligence experts and academics, the group have taken evidence from over 50 people with direct knowledge and experience of the political, military, economic and humanitarian issues facing the country. Their key question - What future role should Britain play?

Their answer will be delivered to the incoming Prime Minister and the leaders of all the main political parties in a report and then televised in a live studio programme presented by Jon Snow on July 14th at which 100 members of the public will be invited to hear their findings at this crucial time.

I personally thought the whole thing was nonsense but you can make your own conclusion by tuning in tonight.

The programme was sickening, pompous rubbish.

If this was not a cynical propaganda exercise then the panel are surely among the most deluded of individuals. One is inclined to guess that there were very cynical operatives that set up this forum and that the people they chose to sit on it were, indeed, mostly hand-picked nitwits beside the ocassional slithery shill.

The blithe way that many of these architects of disaster, mass-murder and degeneracy blathered on was quite breathtaking. They put on their caring faces and agonised about what was 'best for the Iraqi people'.

Turns out the best thing is the armies stay in Iraq until the (despised green-zone) government (who were selected by the yanks to stand for election), via the Iraqi army, get control of the country.

F8ck ! F8ck!

F8cking unbelievable.

Nafeez Ahmed pointed out on Friday that the Americans in Iraq have been and are currently arming Sunni militants so that they can attack Shias. Their priority is to prevent the majority Shia population from forming an effective government and making a (natural) alliance with the Shia government of Iran.

In reality the last thing 'we' care about is Iraqi lives.

The people who go on television to promote the continuation of this carnage should be seen as criminals.

Perhaps we can use this programme as the basis for making a rebutal film, like was done in response to BBC conspiracy files?

Will anyone be making it available for download?

A week of blatant propaganda, just pull all foreign occupying forces and black ops people out, and watch the peace return instantly.

And for the iceing on the cake, remove the american installed iraqi puppet government, and replace with a real elected one.
