Australian review over UK plot suspect

Australia's chief prosecutor is reviewing the case against an Indian doctor charged over links to failed bomb plots in London and Glasgow.
Dr Mohamed Haneef, 27, was detained on July 2 at Brisbane Airport following the previous weekend's bombing attempts in the UK.
The announcement by the country's Director of Public Prosecutions, Damian Bugg, who has the power to dismiss the case, follows weeks of legal and political criticism that it is weak.
Mr Bugg said: "There are matters which have developed as this case has progressed which I am examining and a broader review of the available material and the proceedings to date is the best way to examine these matters appropriately."
Haneef, who has not entered a plea and remains in jail after his visa was cancelled, is charged with recklessly supporting terrorism by providing a relative in the UK with his mobile phone SIM card.
Three people have been charged over the failed car bombing attempts, including Haneef's second cousin Sabeel Ahmed, who is accused of failing to disclose information that could have prevented an attack.
Another second cousin, Kafeel Ahmed, remains in hospital after being badly burned when a blazing Cherokee Jeep was driven into the arrivals hall at Glasgow Airport.
Haneef told Australian police he left his phone SIM card with his cousin in mid-2006 when he left Britain to work in Australia.
