Media coverage of a University of Florida student being tazered by cops for asking a question didn't spark a debate about ongoing police brutality and political persecution, but instead prompted partisan bickering and mindless ninnying about John Kerry's behavior during the incident, while leftist blogs defended the actions of the police.
Andrew Meyer was grabbed by cops yesterday after he asked the former presidential candidate why he didn't challenge the rigged election of 2004 and about his membership of the skull and bones secret society. Meyer asked police what he was being arrested for as they dragged him to the back of the University Auditorium before manhandling him to the ground.
As the photo above shows, two female officers, one with some kind of gangland tattoo on her arm, seem to be smiling with pleasure as they move in to seize Meyer. |

Stun gun incident
University of Florida police used a stun gun on a student taking part in a forum with former presidential candidate John Kerry.
Andrew Meyer was questioning Senator Kerry on why he did not contest the results of the 2004 election.
University officials said he exceeded his allotted time and became disruptive after his microphone was cut off.
Video footage shows police pulling Mr Meyer from the audience and pinning him to the ground before stunning him.
The 21-year-old student can be heard screaming for help as the stun gun is administered.
Mr Meyer was arrested and charged with resisting an officer with violence and disturbing the peace, reports local newspaper the Gainesville Sun.
After spending the night in Alachua County jail, he was released on Tuesday morning, the Gainesville Sun reports.
A spokesman for the university, Steve Orlando, said campus police would conduct an internal investigation into whether the weapon had been used appropriately. |

NOTE: The following is not posted by Andrew Meyer, but has been posted by his friends.
Andrew Meyer is currently incarcerated in Alachua County. While asking U.S. Senator John Kerry a question during a question and answer period following Kerry's speech at the University of Florida, Meyer was attacked by five police officers, manhandled and tasered. Fortunately there are videos and many witnesses to this injustice. Some articles and videos are linked below.
