When Bush junior came to power a little known reported incident occurred. The Stealth bomber was followed by Chinese pilots and a shoot out occurred. It was brought down. The Americans shot a couple of Chinese pilots. Over the next three months the Americans ended up paying hundreds of millions of dollars for what they did and the Chinese ended up copying the US fighter jet technology returning the plane in bits.

The USA on the verge of a split?

There are two USA's.

The actual transnational corporations that roam the world and seek cheap labour and have left the USA. Their shareholders around the world alongside them and in the USA.

The US government and the military industrial complex based on the US nation state and the US dollar.

They aren't nowadays one and the same thing. By not paying a penny in tax the US transnationals have become disconnected to a certain extent from the US body politic. If every boss employed illegal labour we would have the law of the jungle. No rules, no health and safety. This is what is happening to international relations.

The US government is forced to prop up the dollar, the US transnationals are forced to avoid paying taxes and both of them are forced to attack China for not working for free.

A parasite on the body politic like a parasite on the economy when faced with hyperinflation or economic collapse will blame everybody else apart from himself. Whilst the Yanks went to China, not the other way round, they now complain China is not what it seems. Well pull the plug and go if they don't like it there. Go to India. But they wont.

State planning is still hundreds of years more advanced than individual capitalism. Between a rock and a hard place the US is forced into a collision course with China for it wants its cake and to eat it. It wants the Chinese to recycle their dollars into US govt denominated bonds not go round the world buying up companies, in Africa, in the Middle East, in Latin America. This creates a run on the dollar. Well why doesn't the US government charge its large corporations taxes? Why doesn't it force them to pay import taxes for selling products into the USA which were made abroad?

The Yanks will probably push to boycott the Olympics and start to get more stridently anti-Chinese. They have to watch where they tread and how they speak to people. The old style colonial cowboy talk is dead. The Texas JR Ewing's died with Dallas. They were resurrected from the dead by the British. Oil politics and gangsterism went mainstream.

The coming crash will force the USA into a corner. Humility will be learnt the hard way. The only way to remove a leech is to surgically cut it off.
The Chinese are forced to act in the exact opposite way the US is.
