slow internet

ive been noticing this over the last few years

considering over 6 years ago my internet conection was 56k dial up i dont think actual internet is much fast
yes i notice it down loading much quicker but acutual surfing i dont think is any faster
i know i will get some wise cracks about change your pc and service provider but i have done serveral times
ive now got about a 1-2 seconds delay before my internet even responds i am wondering if we are all being monitored

can i ask if there is anyone here who is on broadband and been a internet user for over 5years if they have been thinking the same thing
