Stop the War are billing this as the MOST IMPORTANT CONFERENCE SINCE IRAQ WAR

I think I would say "since the Iraq War started" since that war continues. If the issue of who was behind the 9/11 attacks is ignored, it will be a bit like discussing World War 2 while accepting the Nazi government account that the war started when Poland attacked Germany.

9/11 truth campaigners should be, and I'm sure will be, present. Since the Stop the War leadership still appear determined to suppress discussion of this issue we need to devise a strategy for the event.

My own view is that we should see the participants at this conference as potential allies and devise means of getting through to the many there who will be interested in this issue without antagonising them. I don't think the kind of zapping which was employed at the Richard Dearlove talk would make us many friends at this event, so the strategy I suggest should be to be conspicuous but polite to other peace campaigners.

Perhaps others can come up with tactics of how we could achieve that.

The World Against War Conference will be the most important
international anti war event since the invasion of Iraq. We are
watching a re-run of the path to an illegal and immoral war that
produced the disaster of the Iraq invasion. The lies and
distortions now being used to justify a "pre-emptive" attack
against Iran are those used by the same war criminals in 2002-3

This is why Stop the War is asking every local Stop the War group
to ensure their area is well represented by approaching local
unions, mosques, churches, councillors groups, student unions,
campaigning organisations and so forth to ask for delegations.
And it is why we are asking all of our affiliated organisations
to help maximise the widest possible representation of the
antiwar movement at the World Against War Conference.

Latest international speakers to be confirmed for the conference
include Mrs. Marzieh Mortazi Langroudi, a leading member of the
Iranian group Mothers against War, Ibrahim Mousawi the editor of
Hezbollah's newspaper, and Brigitte Ostmeyer from new German Left
party. Speakers from Iraq will include Hasaan Juma from the Iraqi
Federation of Oil Unions, Jawad Al-Khalisi from the Iraq National
Foundation Congress, Hannah Ibrahim from Womens' Will and Iraqi
exile Sami Ramadani.

Also speaking will be broadcaster and comedian Mark Thomas, Tony
Benn, Lindsey German from Stop the War and Craig Murray, former

antiwar movements in Canada, the USA, South Korea, Poland, the
Czech Republic, Greece, Venezuela and many more. With so many
