STW annual conference Friends House Euston 10 June – just for the record Annie & I covered this, helped also by Martin (Bristol); we decided for the purposes of getting across to the maximum number of people to leaflet/talk to delegates outside rather than trying and probably being prevented from addressing the audience inside.

Our stall + banner was prominently positioned right by the main entrance so we did indeed manage to communicate with a very large number of people, especially as there was quite a queue to get in so no one could fail to be aware of us as they shuffled past!! Several came back to talk to us at greater length during the breaks, we were there for 5 hours solidly.

The response from the activists was on the whole positive, just a handful of diehards shrank away as if stung when they spotted us and studiously avoided eye-contact!

I chased after one couple who looked particularly disapproving and challenged them to explain their objections. They clearly didn't want to talk to me but I pressed them as to why this apparently bothered them so much, why wouldn’t they look at the evidence? They informed me tartly that they HAD watched all the films and studied the evidence at great length but were still totally unconvinced by our interpretation, in fact they considered it was out of order that we were going around spreading rubbish and confusing people.

I said that's absolutely great, we’ve been longing to meet anyone who has seriously applied their mind to the evidence but still supports the official version – please can we talk properly about this some time, in fact you would be doing a great service if you would come to one of our meetings and give us your points because up to now no one has come forward to do this and in the meantime thousands of people up and down the country are latching on to an alternative interpretation of 911. So I believe that if you do have superior knowledge you have a responsibility to pass this on and help put us all right, we’re a truth movement after all and open to any discussion that leads to a better understanding of the facts. If it turns out that we have got the whole thing wrong I for one will be more than happy to pack up and leave the streets, the last thing I want to do is to spread misinformation!

They were very flummoxed by this and didn’t have anything further to say, nor did we see them again later although I was looking out for them...something tells me they are not going to get in touch with us!

Well done Belinda. I think this shows that when they claimed to have looked at the evidence they were not telling the truth. Many people just find the very idea too outrageous to give it the slightest consideration.

If they *do* come back, Just ask them if they believe in the law of gravity, the melting point of steel and the "burning temperature" of jet fuel...

When I speak with people about Sept 11 2001, one of the first things I refer to is building 7. Most all haven’t heard about B7, and I have yet to hear any rational or even plausible account explaining how this building could have fallen without the ‘assistance’ of strategically placed demolition explosives.

If only we could electronically hijack those BBC Big Brother Telescreens that have been erected throughout the country, and upload some kind of video montage of the key moments recorded on that fateful day. We would need to lock out the data route, secure the power supply to each screen and upload the material on a continuous loop with the focus on B7. Any MacGyver's out there
