This is worth reading:

We would do well to make people question what is going on around them and not to call them "sheeple" (a phrase I have never really been comfortable with anyway).

The Thames area is proving to be difficult because lifestyle is a barrier to understanding.

There needs to be a key that will do it but I haven't yet discovered it.

For Nov.11th I am thinking of designing a leaflet concentrating on the Neo-Con agenda and British troops. What do others think?

I think most people know why we're in Iraq etc. Some feel powerless but I'm sure most don't care! and some clearly actually enjoy it Sad
The company I work for has recently engaged in installing CCTV and a Web cam its amazing how much outrage there is about that, but no activism and certainly not in the outside world where Cameras are ten a penny Sad
Again the outside world is not percieved as an immediate threat as these people are 'Law Abiding citizens'

some people say to me that since the govt didnt change course after the big stop the war demo they think they might as well give up! somehow we have to get these people to realise that the struggle is a lifetimes work and beyond, that one big demo is not enough, that demo's are useful but not enough on their own, that individually we have to get the balance right between activism and having enough rest so we dont get burn out, that those in power want us to think it is hopeless, pointless, that the civil protests of the 60's and 70's did have a certain degree of success, that in america the powers that be used assassinations not only to eliminate key protest leaders but as psychological warfare, that here in britian we had thatcherism and resulted in a war against the unions and other groups for the same reasoning, that of psychological warfare, the shadow of which we are still living under. Our task is to persuade others that whatever bad stuff happens, it isnt hopeless and it is a matter of can you live with your conscience knowing that you arent doing anything to at least educate others on the reality of the situation. Also that those in power have taken centuries to consolidate theirr position. it may well take us a long time but then sometimes there are times in history when change can happen swiftly.
