I wonder if my mp is one?

Well based on Stelios's explosive evidence I would estimate the chances as... 0%, seeing as not one paedophile MP is listed.

Still, let's not let the facts get in the way of some more hysterical bs...

Not true, all of the ones listed are in fact CONVICTED
in the UK it is dificult to name and shame as the injunction served by Labour prevented the Scottish guy with the abnormally small mouth being named.
The UK press is very much under the thumb at the moment, they failed to report Tony Blair's daughter's suicide attempt and they have failed to follow with many good stories for fear of their masters.
The stories will one day emerge.

Is this photo the smoking gun in the White House paedophile ring?
It is a controversial snap because the man in the middle is none other than Victor Ashe the man who shared a room with George Bush and is reported to have been George W Bush's long term Gay lover.

As has been widely reported Victor Ashe is openly gay so no problem there. The same is not true of Bush. He is not open.
Quote:
It relates to George W. Bush's homosexual relationsip, since about puberty, with Victor Ashe, long-time Mayor of Knoxvillle. When some in Congress began inquiries in the fall of 2003, Ashe in December, 2003, gave up being Knoxville Mayor and was appointed by George W. Bush, the occupant and resident of the White House, as the U.S. Ambassador to Poland. That is, getting Ashe out of the U.S. jurisdiction, not available to nosey Congressmen.

Bush and Ashe are both members of the satanic cult, "Skull & Bones", headquartered in a windowless building, called "The Tomb" on the campus of Yale University. Part of the initiation procedure is for the new proposed member to divulge his entire sexual history, to several other Bonesmen, so that when he is shoved up into high office, government, finance, etc., he can be blackmailed into silence. The new member has to cavort, au naturel, sometimes more than once, with another Bonesman in a double-size coffin filled with mud.

Bush Homosexual Allegations Resurface In New Book
Leola McConnell releases tell-all memoirs

Allegations that George W. Bush performed a homosexual act on current U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe in the mid-1980's have resurfaced in the tell-all memoirs of the woman who first made the claim.

Leola McConnell, former Liberal Democratic Candidate for Governor of Nevada and one time prostitute-for-hire, was met with deafening silence on behalf of the majority of the corporate media last year when she sensationally alleged that Bush and Ashe regularly hired bisexual men for secret sex sessions in the 80's when Bush was a private citizen.

"In 1984 I watched George W. Bush enthusiastically and expertly perform a homosexual act on another man, one Victor Ashe," said McConnell.

"Ashe is the current U.S. ambassador to Poland; and he too should come out, like former New Jersey Gov. James McGreevy, and admit to being a gay American."

"Other homo-erotic acts were also performed by then-private citizen George W. Bush. I know this because I performed one of them on him myself."
According to Radar Online, in the year since McConnell made the claim, she has been subjected to constant harassment and death threats. An attempt to get her story told in the pages of Larry Flynt's Hustler Magazine fell through, so she has chosen to self-publish a series of memoirs called Lustful Utterances.

In the books, McConnell also claims to expose a network of clientele that regularly enjoyed her "services", most of which come from the Evangelical wing of the Republican Party and the Neo-Con crowd.

Bush is a regular attendee at the the all-male Bohemian Grove club, an annual gathering of the elite which takes place at a forest encampment in Monte Rio, California. In 2004, the New York Post reported that homosexual porn stars were being hired by the Grove to "service" the members, supposedly without their knowledge.

However, the Grove is notorious for its homosexual activity and a reporter who worked at the camp during the summer of 2004 and 2005 told us that he was regularly propositioned by men seeking homosexual intercourse.

On June 29 1989, the Washington Times' Paul M. Rodriguez and George Archibald reported on a Washington D.C. prostitution ring that had intimate connections with the White House allegedly all the way up to President George H.W. Bush. According to the story, male prostitutes had been given access to the White House and the article also cited evidence of "abduction and use of minors for sexual perversion."

Photos of George W. Bush embracing Jeff Gannon, the gay escort turned fake news reporter, who was allowed unmitigated access to the White House press corps with no background investigation or credentials, were popular at the height of the Gannon/Guckert scandal.

Mark Foley sexually harassed congressional pages and the Republican leadership covered it up.
Ted Haggard engaged in meth-fueled gay sex with a male prostitute.
Barney Frank, reprimanded by the House after paying for sex with a man who ran a gay brothel out of Congressman Frank's home.

So you are telling me that this Scottish MP is 'secretly' a convicted paedophile? Any evidence for that - the stories you mention and link to are vague rumours, nothing more.

I repeat not one MP, in all the stories you mention or link to, is a paedophile. So why are people getting worried about MPs? It doesn't add up.

The last story you mention is a story that George Bush may have been involved in homosexual activity. My response would be 'so what?'.

I've spent a good deal of the past two days trying to research the 45 republicans you started the thread with - this list of 45 seems to be one of the most-repeated web rumours in history! I think you may be shocked just how inaccurate most of the entries are (I will post or link to my notes on the list when complete).

Homosexuality among politicians is not a problem and has gone on for a long time eg Ted Heath. Nor is closet homosexuality like in the case of George Bush.
It is paedophilia amongst politicians which is the problem. In Belgium, in Portugal and in America there are well documented cases of organised paedophile rings existing. In the UK it has been covered up but exists. The Blair goverment blocked newspapers from publiching allegations against several Labour MPs.

Also newspapers are not allowed to name victims of abuse under privacy laws but this also prevents cases being publicised.

There is a plan to build an academy on one particular site in London, the Wembley Sports Ground. Before Wembley Park tube station was rebuilt a lot of work was done next to it…I heard this from someone who worked there. Apparently it is an array of reinforced underground cells, between the Sports Ground and the police station. The plan is to build the academy school on top of the cells. Applying some logic to this: who is going to be in the cells? Since we have a plethora of terrorists out there (at least according to the main stream media) who were capable of bringing down the World Trade Centre, and carry out any unexpected and outrageous attack at any time and of extraordinary magnitude, is this where these people might be housed? Under a school? And if we have some suspicions about the truth of the existence of these terrorists, then exactly who IS going to be in these cells? There is a considerable amount of space on this particular site, so I find it a bit odd that the one place they have decided to position the school is on top of underground cells. So, applying a little more logic to this: how are they going to build the school on top of these underground reinforced cells? A school building must have a considerable amount of foundations beneath it, so are they going to dig up these cells to put the building’s foundations in? Or, are the foundations for the school building already there…were they built in when the cells were put there? If anyone has a really good look at this cemented area (sorry, got no pics) it has the most peculiar finish to it. It has a number of long cement ridges along one side of it……no good as a car park and no good as a play area. And what on earth were the half a dozen Mansell staff (a subsidiary of Balfour Beatty with about 75 'education customers' http://www.mansell.plc.uk/cms/layouts/xq/asp/idocid.1021/qx/default.ht m) doing for 6 months, in and out of a peculiar red brick building, in their white uniforms? A decision is going to be made at Brent Council (closed meeting) on Monday night 29th October about whether they are going to build another four academies in Brent, including this one, at this site, on these cells.

I don't quite understand what you are getting at. Are these to be secret cells for the government? They sound like they could be anything.

It reminds me a bit of the internet video of somebody walking around a trainyard explaining how it could be made into a FEMA death camp...

NOTE: Please let me acknowledge that in questioning the accuracy of this list, I do not seek to play down the gravity of sexual crimes against children. My aim is to evaluate (a) whether the claims in each entry are connect, and (b) to assess the extent of each person's connection to the Republican party.

* Republican anti-abortion activist Howard Scott Heldreth is a convicted child rapist in Florida.

Heldreth may have Republican sympathies, but I can find no evidence of any sort of connection to the Republican party.

* Republican County Commissioner David Swartz pleaded guilty to molesting two girls under the age of 11 and was sentenced to 8 years in prison.

Swartz was/is a potato farmer. He was a county commissioner, an administrative local government position.

* Republican judge Mark Pazuhanich pleaded no contest to fondling a 10-year old girl and was sentenced to 10 years probation.

He was a DA when the offence took place, and never handled a case as a family court judge before stepping down.

* Republican anti-abortion activist Nicholas Morency pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography on his computer and offering a bounty to anybody who murders an abortion doctor.

Morency was a cashier for Caesar's in Atlantic City. Republican affiliations - unknown, likely nil.

* Republican legislator Edison Misla Aldarondo was sentenced to 10 years in prison for raping his daughter between the ages of 9 and 17.

Aldarondo was speaker in the Puerto Rican house of representatives. But there is no listing for the Republican party on the wikipedia page of political parties in Puerto Rico, which is a self-governing territory.

* Republican Mayor Philip Giordano is serving a 37-year sentence in federal prison for sexually abusing 8- and 10-year old girls.

Seems accurate. Waterbury Connecticut. Had previously served at a state level in Connecticut.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Giordano

* Republican campaign consultant Tom Shortridge was sentenced to three years probation for taking nude photographs of a 15-year old girl.

For "Republican campaign consultant" means that he worked for an advocacy firm producing leaflets for local political candidates.

* Republican racist paedophile and United States Senator Strom Thurmond had sex with a 15-year old black girl which produced a child.

All links I can find say that the girl was 16 (he was 22 and the incident happened in 1925). So the paedophile tag is false. The racist tag is an opinion, though I dare say it is true. It should also be noted that he served at various times as a Republican, a Democrat and also for a segregationist party.

* Republican pastor Mike Hintz, whom George W. Bush commended during the 2004 presidential campaign, surrendered to police after admitting to a sexual affair with a female juvenile.

The George Bush connection comes from him having appeared at a rally for Bush. Bush's commendation? - he said that Hintz had benefitted from his tax plan! A churchman not a politician.

* Republican legislator Peter Dibble pleaded no contest to having an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old girl.

At what level did he legislate? As a first selectman of the tiny coastal town of Stonington. He was convicted of a 'non-sexual misdemeanour charge'.

* Republican activist Lawrence E. King, Jr. organized child sex parties at the White House during the 1980s.
* Republican lobbyist Craig J. Spence organized child sex parties at the White House during the 1980s.

A conspiracy theory dead-end, a grand jury threw out these allegations as a total hoax.

* Republican Congressman Donald "Buz" Lukens was found guilty of having sex with a female minor and sentenced to one month in jail.

Lukens comes across as no angel obviously, but the female minor was over the age of consent - Lukens was convicted of a misdemeanour charge.

* Republican fundraiser Richard A. Delgaudio was found guilty of child porn charges and paying two teenage girls to pose for sexual photos.

No real complaints here though the entry is inaccurate - the child porn charges were for paying one 16-year-old to pose.

* Republican activist Mark A. Grethen convicted on six counts of sex crimes involving children.

Accurate.

* Republican activist Randal David Ankeney pleaded guilty to attempted sexual assault on a child.

Again largely correct, though obviously he ceased to be a republican activist once the charges were brought against him in 2001. As in virtually every case on this list, the entry should probably be preceded by the word "Former".

* Republican Congressman Dan Crane had sex with a female minor working as a congressional page.

He admitted to consensual sex with the 17-year-old and wasn't re-elected. He had done nothing unlawful.

* Republican activist and Christian Coalition leader Beverly Russell admitted to an incestuous relationship with his step daughter.

Another 'activist' whose Republican ties seem to consist of fund-raisers and committees - no official position within the party.

* Republican congressman and anti-gay activist Robert Bauman was charged with having sex with a 16-year-old boy he picked up at a gay bar.

A hypocrit, yes. And a user of prostitutes. I can find no confirmation of the prostitute's age in any mainstream reporting of the case.

* Republican Committee Chairman Jeffrey Patti was arrested for distributing a video clip of a 5-year-old girl being raped.

Sussex County. Presumably not convicted. Distributing the clip? He was alleged to have downloaded it (which he obviously denied).

* Republican activist Marty Glickman (a.k.a. "Republican Marty"), was taken into custody by Florida police on four counts of unlawful sexual activity with an underage girl and one count of delivering the drug LSD.

Apparently a right-wing talk-show host, does that count as an activist? I couldn't find much info about this one to be honest.

* Republican legislative aide Howard L. Brooks was charged with molesting a 12-year old boy and possession of child pornography.

Not elected, an aide to an assemblyman.

* Republican Senate candidate John Hathaway was accused of having sex with his 12-year old baby sitter and withdrew his candidacy after the allegations were reported in the media.

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m2519/is_n8_v17/ai_18668633/pg_1
According to this article Hathaway denied the charges throughout his campaign, never withdrew, and got a third of the final vote.

* Republican preacher Stephen White, who demanded a return to traditional values, was sentenced to jail after offering $20 to a 14-year-old boy for permission to perform oral sex on him.

http://www.yaledailynews.com/articles/view/8796?badlink=1
No mention of any Republican ties whatsoever. The only links I could find with any mention of 'republican' were the many hundreds of reprints of this list.

* Republican talk show host Jon Matthews pleaded guilty to exposing his genitals to an 11 year old girl.

http://www.fortbendnow.com/news/2613/former-radio-talk-show-host-jon-m atthews-heading-to-prison
Conservative values, yes. Republican connections - none that I could find.

* Republican anti-gay activist Earl "Butch" Kimmerling was sentenced to 40 years in prison for molesting an 8-year old girl after he attempted to stop a gay couple from adopting her.

http://www.commonplacebook.com/current_events/politics/man_charged_wit .shtm
http://www.gospeltruth.net/almost_a_family.htm
The actual story is totally different. Kimmerling was a bus driver and foster parent who tried to block an adoption request from a gay applicant. Hardly classes him a republican activist.

* Republican Party leader Paul Ingram pleaded guilty to six counts of raping his daughters and served 14 years in federal prison.

http://members.aol.com/IngramOrg/
Chairman of the Thurston County republican party. A fascinating story, though the account linked here may be biased - it is claimed that Ingram was convicted as a result of false memory syndrome.

* Republican election board official Kevin Coan was sentenced to two years probation for soliciting sex over the internet from a 14-year old girl.

http://www.armchairsubversive.org/kevin_coan.htm
No real inaccuracies, though the girl was a police officer in a sting operation.

* Republican politician Andrew Buhr was charged with two counts of first degree sodomy with a 13-year old boy.

A former committeeman for Hadley Township, and a nominee for the Missouri house. He was one of four men charged - they pled not guilty and insisted that the boy had lied about his age.

* Republican politician Keith Westmoreland was arrested on seven felony counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition to girls under the age of 16 (i.e. exposing himself to children).

http://www.sierratimes.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard//topic.cgi?forum=2&topic= 390
Laughable - he walked around a hotel pool and bathtub naked.

* Republican anti-abortion activist John Allen Burt was charged with sexual misconduct involving a 15-year old girl.

Another anti-abortion activist whose morals may be extremely questionable, but who seem to have no actual affiliation with the Republican party.

* Republican County Councilman Keola Childs pleaded guilty to molesting a male child.

http://starbulletin.com/2000/07/20/news/briefs.html
Former councilman. In Hawaii.

* Republican activist John Butler was charged with criminal sexual assault on a teenage girl.

http://www.armchairsubversive.org/John_Butler2.htm
Described as a 'low-level volunteer' when the scandal hit during the election of a new Illinois governor.

* Republican candidate Richard Gardner admitted to molesting his two daughters.

Assembly candidate for Las Vegas in 2002. Republican officials admitted that they were unaware of his criminal past of 14 years ago.

* Republican Councilman and former Marine Jack W. Gardner was convicted of molesting a 13-year old girl.

http://www.armchairsubversive.org/Jack_Gardner2.htm
...30 years before taking office.

* Republican County Commissioner Merrill Robert Barter pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual contact and assault on a teenage boy.

http://boothbayregister.maine.com/1999-04-15/barter_pleads_guilty.html
Correct. Boothbay Harbour, Lincoln County.

* Republican City Councilman Fred C. Smeltzer, Jr. pleaded no contest to raping a 15 year-old girl and served 6-months in prison.

He was a Deputy fire chief. Where I am struggling with some of these cases is establishing whether or not these were elected by the public - by councilman does it mean Smeltzer was an elected politician or just an employee? I suspect the latter in this case.
http://www.wgal.com/news/4176008/detail.html

* Republican activist Parker J. Bena pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography on his home computer and was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison and fined $18,000.

Seems accurate.

* Republican parole board officer and former Colorado state representative, Larry Jack Schwarz, was fired after child pornography was found in his possession.

Doesn't seem to have been charged - in fact it seems he was fired on suspicion of owning child pornography. Again I sincerely doubt that a parole board officer is a political appointment.

* Republican strategist and Citadel Military College graduate Robin Vanderwall was convicted in Virginia on five counts of soliciting sex from boys and girls over the internet.

Strategist? He helped in campaigns for local Republican delegates.
http://www.armchairsubversive.org/Vanderwall.htm

* Republican city councilman Mark Harris, who is described as a "good military man" and "church goer," was convicted of repeatedly having sex with an 11-year-old girl and sentenced to 12 years in prison.

True. Again a low ranking councilman.

* Republican businessman Jon Grunseth withdrew his candidacy for Minnesota governor after allegations surfaced that he went swimming in the nude with four underage girls, including his daughter.

A typical election scandal - to my knowledge there was never any suggestion of wrongdoing.
http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C0CE7DE1E31F934A15753C 1A966958260&n=Top/Reference/Times%20Topics/Organizations/R/Republican% 20Party

* Republican director of the "Young Republican Federation" Nicholas Elizondo molested his 6-year old daughter and was sentenced to six years in prison.

This federation was a Bakersfield county group.
http://www.armchairsubversive.org/Nicholas_Elizondo.htm

* Republican benefactor of conservative Christian groups, Richard A. Dasen Sr., was charged with rape for allegedly paying a 15-year old girl for sex. Dasen, 62, who is married with grown children and several grandchildren, has allegedly told police that over the past decade he paid more than $1 million to have sex with a large number of young women.

A businessman, nothing more. No formal republican connections.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A1426-2004Aug14?language=prin ter

*Republican Congressman Mark Foley abruptly resigned from Congress after "sexually explicit" emails surfaced showing him flirting with a 16-year old boy.

No charges.

*Republican executive Randall Casseday of the conservative Washington Times newspaper was arrested for soliciting sex from a 13-year old girl on the internet.

Human resources director, no connection even with the content of the paper then. The only link with Republicans here seems to be that the Washington Times is a conservative newspaper.

*Republican chairman of the Oregon Christian Coalition Lou Beres confessed to molesting a 13-year old girl.

True.

*Republican County Constable Larry Dale Floyd was arrested on suspicion of soliciting sex with an 8-year old girl. Floyd has repeatedly won elections for Denton County, Texas, constable.

True. He was unopposed in the previous election. Again, a Republican of no standing nationally serving in a council position at county level.
http://www.armchairsubversive.org/Larry_Dale_Floyd4.htm

*Republican Party leader Bobby Stumbo was arrested for having sex with a 5-year old boy.

Former! 62 years old of Denton County, Kentucky. Can't find any indication of an outcome in the case.

*Republican petition drive manager Tom Randall pleaded guilty to molesting two girls under the age of 14, one of them the daughter of an associate in the petition business.

He owned/owns Orange Coast Consultants in Newport Beach. He worked for the Republican party, but presumably as a businessman not a politian was a gun for hire.
http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/news/abox/article_1158949.php

*Republican County Chairman Armando Curtain was arrested for sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl.

Can't find a single bit of info on this.

*Republican teacher and former city councilman John Collins pleaded guilty to sexually molesting 13 and 14 year old girls.

He didn't teach republican as the entry implies, he was an Eatontown music teacher who pleaded guilty to assaulting two girls, one 15 and one 13.

*Republican campaign worker Mark Seidensticker is a convicted child molester.

I don't want to excuse his crimes, but he was convicted of 'attempted sexual assault' to be specific. He was a campaign aide for a Republican councillor, not an elected republican official.

*Republican Mayor Tom Adams was arrested for distributing child pornography over the internet.

Mayor of Green Oaks, a Chicago municipality. Don't know if he was convicted.
http://www.armchairsubversive.org/Tom_Adams2.htm

*Republican Mayor John Gosek was arrested on charges of soliciting sex from two 15-year old girls.

And sentenced to 37 months. Former mayor of Oswego.

*Republican Committeeman John R. Curtain was charged with molesting a teenage boy and unlawful sexual contact with a minor.

Monroe county. No indication of a conviction.
http://www.armchairsubversive.org/John_Curtain.htm

*Republican zoning supervisor, Boy Scout leader and Lutheran church president Dennis L. Rader pleaded guilty to performing a sexual act on an 11-year old girl he murdered.

Rader is a serial killer. As far as I can gather, the term 'Republican' as applied is utterly false in this case. It may refer to this line from an online biog, "Rader served on both the Sedgwick County's Board of Zoning Appeals and the Animal Control Advisory Board (appointed in 1996 and resigned in 1998)". The same article says "He consistently voted Democratic."
http://www.goupstate.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?category=NEWS&template= wiki&text=Dennis_Rader

*Republican advertising consultant Carey Lee Cramer was sentenced to six years in prison for molesting two 8-year old girls, one of whom appeared in an anti-Gore television commercial.

A real struggle to find any background for Cramer - was he a Republican or just an ad creator for hire? He certainly seems to have no republican history other than being involved in one infamous anti-Gore ad.

*Republican activist Mark A.Grethen convicted on six counts of sex crimes involving children.

Agreed. Activist and fundraiser, not elected.

*Republican Judge Ronald C. Kline was placed under house arrest for child molestation and possession of child pornography.

Hard to find any description of Republican credentials for the former judge.
http://www.metnews.com/articles/2005/klei121405.htm

*Republican campaign worker, police officer and self-proclaimed reverend Steve Aiken was convicted of having sex with two underage girls.

Indeed he was a campaign manager for an Arizona candidate for a congressional seat, and is also a radio talk-show host with his own website.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/06/gop_campaign_ma.html

*Republican president of the New York City Housing Development Corp. Russell Harding pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography on his computer.

The Republican link comes from his appointment, possibly through nepotistic connections with Rudy Giuliani, though the position itself is not a political one.
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/22/nyregion/22harding.html?_r=1&n=Top/R eference/Times%20Topics/People/H/Harding,%20Russell%20A.&oref=slogin

*Republican Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld authorized the rape of children in Iraqi prisons in order to humiliate their parents into providing information about the anti-American insurgency.

Conspiracy theory. Presumably there is absolutely no evidence of this actually taking place.

And my summary of the list...

Of the 63 on the list...

9 - Either no evidence of crimes, no actual charges, exoneration, or un-proved speculation. (NOTE: With entries where no other information could be found, I have assumed there was a conviction on the charges)

Of the 54 remaining...

14 - Seem to have no formal relationship with the Republican party. Have been included because they espouse conservative values (talk show hosts, anti-abortion groups) or because of a mistaken or unproven connection.

Of the 40 left...

17 - Were unelected supporters of the Republican party. Aides, fundraisers, involved in local party workings, campaigners.

Of the 23 now remaining...

19 - Served at a sub-state level.

4 - Served or had served at a state level or higher. One was a Puerto Rico house speaker. Another a local mayor and former state rep in Connecticut. And 2 congressmen, both guilty of charges that didn't involve them being classed as sex offenders.

To put these numbers in context, it may be worth noting the figures mentioned in the US census of governments in 2002. For example, the census listed more than 87,525 state and local governments in the US.

It's also worth taking into account the fact that these cases are historical - they are not all recent cases. So you have to take into account the many different republicans that have taken office.

On the claims of endemic paedophilia in the Republican party I would have to say that is a mis-reading of these cases. None have any formal connection with each other.

In conclusion, I think the list is grossly inaccurate in many cases. The connections with the Republican party are often totally spurious. The actual examples of high ranking Republicans involved are few.

I find a few particular comments on what I quoted on a post recently from Beckett's book highly disturbing, and note that the teacher who passed this on the Beckett preferred to remain anonymous:
Quote:
Students are never allowed a break outside of the school. They must stay in the building all day. Students are given two half-hour ‘brunch’ breaks. These are not at the same time as other students. These breaks are staggered throughout the day, from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., so that different groups are together. Brunch takes place in a large room without windows. Students have no opportunity to let off steam and are constantly monitored.
Why on earth are these students being acclimatised to being in a room without windows? And why are they being constantly monitored? The students have no opportunity to chat amongst themselves. It seems that neither do the staff. And that is very handy. (Teachers work all the hours that god gives anyway). There is a small staff-room at one of these schools, only built because the staff absolutely insisted. It is more like a meeting room. Another new-build academy (as they are all new build buildings) which is currently being built will have no staff-room, and I know of one comprehensive (not academy) where there is talk of removing the staff-room. Also, a refurbishment at another place (not an academy) shrunk the staff-room to half its original size. No-one uses that staff-room now either. So the staff don’t get to see the big picture by cross-referencing information. Someone told me that there is no attempt at all to retain staff at one particular academy school. In a year only a handful of the original staff from the old school were still there. Quoting Beckett again: ‘
Quote:
One of the minor sins to be laid at the door of academies is the stupid waste of talented, experienced, dedicated teachers.’
Not at all. You don’t want the old wise one’s watching what you are doing. And with an enormously high turn-over of staff no-one stays long enough to figure out what is really going on. There are also a lot of TeachFirst teachers at one school, apparently about 40%. These are teachers who have a good degree, they are ‘head-hunted’ while studying, spend 4-6 weeks doing teacher training over summer and go into the schools in September. (This is most certainly not a qualified teacher.) However, having a teacher like this in the school may be beneficial, but I do think the number I heard, about 40%, seems somewhat ridiculous. They are contracted for 2 years, and as they are inexperienced are given easier classes and lighter time-tables. The rest of the staff pick up the difficult classes and have heavier time-tables. The TeachFirst staff are then given the opportunity to be fast-tracked into senior posts in the school, presumably only if they are suitably compliant. One TeachFirst teacher at a school in London must have been suitably compliant as she is now the recruitment officer for ARK, and some of these recruitment officers certainly have interesting jobs. The young TeachFirst teachers who stay will be moulded into exactly the shape the managers want. Interestingly, the TeachFirst programme arrived in this country from the US at about the same time that the academy schools programme arrived.
What’s more, the number of senior management in these schools is staggering. In ‘The Great City Academy Fraud’ Beckett states: ‘
Quote:
Coulby Newham had a senior management team of four and was told it was overstaffed. King’s Academy had a senior management team of 14. This is, of course, entirely taxpayer-funded – Sir Peter pays not a penny towards their salaries.’
What on earth do these people do all day? But then, if you have the difficult job of making sure the staff bend to your will (and I suspect their will is rather difficult to bend to) this probably keeps them very busy indeed. What I am hearing from teachers in London who are not teaching in academy schools is that no-one really knows much about what is going on in the academy schools and they find that odd. Because people talk and people chat. In academy schools there isn’t much of that going on, because they get rid of the staffrooms. It is written into their contract (once a school becomes an academy school the staff sign a new contract and it is only for 6 months) that they are not to make any negative comments about the school. Now, what could someone possibly say about an academy school which is negative? And beware of anyone who thinks you should spend all day long trying to work out whether there were planes or nor planes because they are distracting you from noticing what is going on right under your very noses. And these stalkers, as many of us know, are EVERYWHERE.

So you are telling me that this Scottish MP is 'secretly' a convicted paedophile? Any evidence for that - the stories you mention and link to are vague rumours, nothing more.

The scottish guy with the abnormally small gob was implicated and named in a paedophile ring which was organised by the Dunblane gunman who murdered several people.
But a D Notice was issued which prevented the Scottish MP from being named and he was quickly shifted to a different job.
you know who he is and you know the job he was moved too as well so you know it is all true

Disturbing, again, (this is all disturbing) is who is actually running these so called ‘good’ academy schools. Many are now being farmed out to third parties. At least one of them, 3E’s (http://www.3es.com), is a subsidiary of a global construction giant. 3E’s is part of Faber Maunsell, and if you look at the Faber Maunsell website (http://www.fabermaunsell.com) you will see that they are attached to Aecom, and if you look at Aecom’s website (http://www.aecom.com), you will see that they are massive, and they work in Iraq.
Quote:
Private Sector Has Firm Role at the Pentagon

By Robert O'Harrow Jr. and Ellen McCarthy
Washington Post Staff Writers
Wednesday, June 9, 2004; Page E01
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A26316-2004Jun8?language=prin ter

The Defense Department is paying a firm called AECOM Technology Corp. to do work in Iraq once reserved mostly for military managers and other public employees, an arrangement that shows how far the government has gone in its decade-long effort to turn over much of its work to private contractors.

Under the $22 million contract, awarded in March, the Los Angeles-based engineering firm's subsidiaries will help the Pentagon buy goods and services, plan projects and administer contracts in Iraq related to reconstruction work. The firm will also monitor other contractors who are overseeing billions of dollars worth of electrical, water and communications projects. And the firm will assist on audits of projects, according to company documents.

The AECOM contract is the latest example of a transformation of the military acquisition system that started more than a decade ago and has contractors making decisions once made by government staffers. From 1990 to 2000, the Defense Department cut its procurement and acquisition staff from about 461,000 to 231,000, according to a 2000 report by the Defense Department's inspector general. Many duties that had been handled by the government were gradually shifted to the private sector.
And 3E’s, way down the bottom of this pile, has become the third party in running a rather large number of schools. And Tony Blair has been completely complicit in this as, again in my favourite book ‘The Great City Academy Fraud’ it says:
Quote:
Sir David, having no experience of education, asked one of the mushrooming educational consultancy’s to run the school. He chose 3E’s, the firm set up by the first head of the first city technology college, Valerie Bragg, and the late Stanley Goodchild, a former chief education officer for Berkshire. Tony Blair, opening the academy, made a point of crediting them: ‘Stanley Goodchild and Valerie Bragg, for their educational leadership of the academy project through their path-breaking company 3Es.' 3E’s apparently stands for ‘education, education, education’. I’ve heard that phrase somewhere before, and am wondering whether they should be paying royalties. The Prime Minister’s endorsement will have helped 3E’s win the contracts they now have for four more academies in Chelsea, Lewisham, Croydon and Liverpool; but this is hardly a surprise, since Valerie Bragg is also an advisor to the Prime Minister’s office on regeneration of schools.
I cannot understand Tony Blair’s complicity in this. Either he knows what is going on, or he has had a brain implant, rather like the driver did the night Diana and Dodi were murdered, in the three hours he went missing. Perhaps he should indeed become a catholic and go and spend some time at the Vatican with Ratzinger, known supporter of child sex abuse across the planet and leader of the The Holy Roman Inquisition or Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and listen to the talks Henry Kissinger (war criminal and mass murderer) is giving there to the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences on foreign affairs. He might learn something.

A friend in Australia, very much involved in the 9/11 truth movement, told me in passing by email very recently a story about what had happened in her daughter’s school.
Quote:
Towards the end of last term, they had their annual school
concert (musical). My daughter kept telling me about other children's roles
and how poorly they learned all the dialogues etc.

On the day of the concert, I got the picture.
All the teachers were in it (playing) and playing main roles.
Children (about 50) were divided into two groups,
One was with a horrible school (my daughter was among them, Group
A), the other at good school (B).

A appeared on stage ONLY at the beginning and at the end of the show
which lasted like two hours, singing one song each.

The rest was for B and the teachers.
It was absolutely unfair and unacceptable from my point of view --
that's even if my daughter was in B, I would have thought so.

I would like to complain, but it seems they've been doing (teacher
performing) all the time, I can see the majority (the family=Mr, Mrs
and daughter of the principal plus another, out of 7 total) really
enjoy it, but IMHO they should go to some local theater group!

But I know they won't like it, so I think I'll keep my mouth shut.
So far, they've been all nice to us, but it's like they've got my daughter as
a hostage, so to speak...
Even though she was involved in trying to get the message out there that what we were told about 9/11 is a lie, she couldn’t see that the mind controllers were at work in her real life. And until I got her email, neither did I. So this is the new baddie, ‘the bad schools’ It’s been the ‘bad jews’ and the ‘bad Muslims’ and the ‘bad immigrants’ and the ‘bad black people’ and now we’ve got the ‘bad schools’. (In my day there was one sort of school, the local school, but the League tables certainly got rid of that.) Since this is all about the twisted use of language I would actually say that what they are meaning is really the ‘naughty schools’ because you only get to go to the ‘good’ school if you are very very good indeed. You really better want to go there and you really better behave, and do exactly as you are told. And this is exactly what was said of Bexley Academy: ‘Any students who have complained have basically been told that they are lucky to be in the academy and should shut up.’ Let’s analyse this a little more. The building is not the school, the people are the school. Children can learn in a shed with a piece of chalk and a chalk board. The third world knows this. And what’s more, their kids are vastly better educated. We’re being told that the ‘good school’ is the academy school. What utter garbage. The Academy is not the ‘good’ school it is the ‘new’ school. And what is new about it? The building. As far as I am aware every single academy is either a complete rebuild or a partial rebuild; they just cannot seem to leave these buildings alone. Langely Academy looks like it is going to be one of the ‘good’ schools. www.langleyacademy.org. How sanitised. Welcome to the Stepford Children.

Yes, this is a very similar list to the one you posted on here, with some cases repeated, and the same shortcomings. Various politicians are criticised for having more than one marriage, or having affairs, or being gay. I think it's a fairly abhorrent piece of mud-slinging.

Nobody has commented on my notes on the original list - I hope somebody found it useful in some way. I think it's disgraceful that these lists are being circulated hundreds if not thousands of times around the web with absolutely no fact-checking that I can find. We have to be very very careful in making any ill-considered opinions based on such inaccurate garbage (in my opinion).

British MP Paedophile Allegations Hidden From Melbourne Indymedia

adhok (melbimc voluteer) | 29.06.2003 17:05 | Indymedia
There seem to be some retractions due while a number of unanswered questions remain regarding an article recently posted (anonymously) on Melbourne Indymedia entitled “Blair Involved in Pedophile Ring blackmailed to support Iraq Attack.” It now seems probable that some of the allegations made in the article may stem from a smear campaign orchestrated by British secret services.

The article, written by Mike James from the online journal Propaganda Matrix, made three main assertions: one; that two members of Tony Blair’s inner government were being investigated over child pornography charges, two; that this information was used by elements within the USA to blackmail the British Government into supporting the war on Iraq, and three; that the convicted Dunblane massacre murderer and suspected paedophile, Thomas Hamilton had complicated connections to the recently retired Secretry General of NATO, Lord George Robertson.

Michael Keaney, an online commentator and Finnish based economist, was heavily quoted in the article. He contacted Melbourne Indymedia a few days ago asking that the article be removed, because he believes the article to be misleading, and that some of its assertions are demonstrably false.

On March 11 of this year, London’s Independent newspaper seemed to be putting to rest earlier allegations made by Scotland’s Sunday Herald on January 19th that the police investigation into child pornography known as Operation Ore (which was also responsible for the arrest of Pete Townsend) had implicated two prominent British Labour politicians. The Independent said that, “earlier reports that suggested two MPs were on the list now seem wrong.”

The problem was the earlier Sunday Herald article had sounded quite authorative:

“The Sunday Herald has also had confirmed by a very senior source in British intelligence that at least one high-profile former Labour Cabinet minister is among Operation Ore suspects. The Sunday Herald has been given the politician's name but, for legal reasons, can not identify the person.

“There are still unconfirmed rumours that another senior Labour politician is among the suspects. The intelligence officer said that a 'rolling' Cabinet committee had been set up to work out how to deal with the potentially ruinous fall-out for both Tony Blair and the government if arrests occur.”
http://www.sundayherald.com/30813

Michael Keaney used the above assertions in January (before the retraction) to speculate on an email list as to who indeed the culprits might be. These musings were quoted in the Propaganda Matrix article. However, following the publication of the Independent article in March, Keaney says it is quite possible that Sunday Herald readers, and even journalists, may have been 'duped,' and that the intelligence leak may have been "deliberately calculated to smear prominent politicians."

“If that is indeed the case,” wrote Keaney, “there is still a serious case to answer. What is going on inside UK intelligence? Why are stories deliberately calculated to smear prominent politicians making their way into the press? Have we returned to the 1970s? Did the 1970s ever go away -- i.e., have the security services continued their fun and games and proxy wars in the news media? If so, to what end?”

I asked Michael Keaney why it was he believed this was more likely a case of a smear campaign than a cover-up:

“There is a long tradition of smear in the British press, in which different factions of the intelligence community conduct proxy wars and in which there is inevitable collateral damage. Now I am hardly one to defend the likes of Peter Mandelson, and it may well be that he or another former cabinet colleague is on a list of suspects somewhere, but the manner in which this story has been treated is disturbing for reasons relating to the use of newspaper journalists by intelligence officers as urinals (as E.P. Thompson aptly described Chapman Pincher). By any stretch of the imagination all of this is scandalous, but the real scandal, given all that we know at present, is that unsubstantiated allegations of this kind, complete with the utmost reassurance from anonymous intelligence sources, make it into the newspapers in order for inquiring minds like mine to connect the dots and draw the conclusion. In doing that it is quite possible that I was duped. Or maybe not. Whatever, I think we are on much stronger ground if we focus on the smear job itself, asking for further substantiation of what are incredibly serious allegations that have miraculously appeared and then equally miraculously been swept under the carpet. In other words, we have to try to read between the lines in this wilderness of mirrors, to mix metaphors. The alternative is that we risk losing credibility because we have been led into a trap designed to make us reach conclusions which are thereafter demonstrably falsifiable (which is not to say false).”

Another person quoted in the Propaganda Matrix article, William Palfreman, was also moved to withdraw the comments he made years earlier in an internet chat room. Palfreman now believes the suggestion that Roberston and Hamilton were jointly involved in a paedophile ring was merely a rumour he may have “naively” been involved in starting. Despite the inference in the PM article, Michael Keaney made clear that he had not made comments regarding any connections to the Dunblane massacre in his writings on Robertson.

The Propaganda Matrix article referred to Palfreman as a “correspondent of Keaney”, however both assert that they were not known to each other until the article was published.
http://lists.econ.utah.edu/pipermail/a-list/2003-May/025572.html

Rumours regarding Lord Robertson’s connection to the Hamilton, the Dunblane killer, were born out of the suspicion surrounding the largely unprecedented use of a 100 year secrecy act imposed on some documents seen by the inquiry into the Dunblane killings. Robertson reportedly withdrew his son from a club run by Hamilton amid concern about its militaristic nature in 1983.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/guardianpolitics/story/0,3605,895056,00.html

In March, Lord Robertson threatened to sue the Sunday Herald over particular allegations made on the newspaper’s online public forum regarding his involvement with the Hamilton. The paper removed the allegations from its “un-policed” forum within half an hour of being contacted by Robertson. As an international figure Robertson may have been able to file defamation cases against the paper in several countries, sending the paper into financial ruin. Although it may be coincidence, Robertson announced he would step down from his position as NATO Secretary General four days after the original article appeared in the paper.

In December last year Australian businessman Joseph Gutnick successfully won the right to sue the US based Dow Jones corporation in a Victorian court over an article published on their US website. http://melbarchive.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=38097

The upshot being that there is no real basis for any of the allegations.

The analysis of the Sunday Herald's source sounds very speculative to me. Rather than any sort of smear campaign from secret services, is it not far more likely that the Sunday Herald's story was simply mischevous gossip.
