I don't get this. First he's gonna screen LC2E - now he's not gonna show it? We all heard the original announcement and we all know his own reported views. Surely you're protected enough in the Palace of Westminster? Why on earth would he change his mind? It's not as if he hasn't spoken out about it before. |

Maybe it's a good thing that he's not going to show it. I watched LC2 the other day for the first time and was dissapointed with the opening material in particular. The few blurred frames showing the 'flash' as the plane reaches the tower prove nothing as far as i'm concerned - I just can't tell what is happening the images are too poor.
I think a better approach for MPs would be to focus more on the prior knowladge, ingnorance of standard operating procedures re norad and insuing 'explanations' and the collapses of the towers.
One impressive thing in LC2 are the many examples of burning buildings which didn't collapse. _________________ www.wytruth.org.uk

Those very scenes were removed for the second edition of Loose Change for the same reasons. Sure you've seen it? |

The latest news, as announced by Noel at the premiere tonight of 911eyewitness Hoboken in London which I attended and will write more about when I get home - the latest is that the screening WILL take place but is now going to be organised by another MP. So we can cross our fingers and hope that there isn't a bomb scare in the Commons that day... |

Thanks Andrew for announcing this. Here are a few more details.
Noel
Good news! The screening in parliament is apparently back on again.
Last night in London we hired a cinema for Rick Siegel, who is visiting, and screened his movie 9/11 Eyewitness, followed by a discussion led by David Shayler. During the screening the cinema was visited by Tim Sparke, managing director of Mercury Media. He has been lobbying politicians and media people hard and reckons he will get LC2 shown nationally on an ITV channel, probably around Sept 11th 2006. He told me that, partly due to the large numbers of congratulatory e-mails that Michael Meacher MP has received and partly due to encouragement from Jeremy Corbyn MP, the screening of Loose Change 2 will now go ahead. The room will by booked in Jeremy's name and Michael will arrange it. It will be open to MPs and Lords, I'm not sure about the public.
After the screening of 9/11 Eyewitness I announced this to the audience (of about 100) and the news was greeted with enthusiastic applause.
Jeremy Corbyn had some months ago listened intently to a delegation of six of us in the H of C, giving us 85 minutes to talk to him.
I think the lesson from this is that lobbying is working and it is a very worthwhile thing to do, though at times it feels what we are saying is falling on deaf ears. I think we should now get our supporters all over the country to write to all MPs and Lords encouraging them to view this screening. We have just under a month to do it.
One slightly awkward thing is that both Meacher and Corbyn are considered to be on the left of the Labour Party, Corbyn particularly being regarded by the party heirarchy as one of the "awkward squad" or the "usual suspects". It might help if we encouraged some other MPs to join them in sponsoring this event, such as Justin's Liberal Democrat MP, Tim Farron, who has been lobbied hard on this issue.
Tim Sparke also told me that LC2 has now moved up to the number 1 most downloaded movie on the net and is being screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
After fair though short treatment of the controversy over what hit the Pentagon by Jeremy Paxman and Mark Urban, together with an interview with Dave von Kleist, on the BBC's Newsnight programme last Wednesday night, things really seem to be beginning to move.
Congratulations Dylan!

Things like this make it all worth while Noel. Every now and again we need a pick-me-up. _________________ Conspiracy - what conspiracy? Looks like an open and shut case to me ... |
