Land rights rant - British history

On 7th July 2007 I was invited to do a rant at the 400th anniversary of the Cotesbach Enclosure riots.

I had to redo the talk so here it is for you to listen through if you can be bothered. Lots of history but primarily my personal take on a kind of revisionist history of England looking at the civil war and agricultural/industrial revolutions particularly.

I'd be interested to get feedback on what people think of this particular line of British history - a sort of history of privatisation of the commons.

Make no mistake though, we Brits gave birth to capitlism in the mid 1600s. A system which has caused untold suffering and mayhem, and divided societies across the world.

Its about 45 minutes long.
