Eastern Haze - Report: The way the East was ONE

Having just returned from the Eastern Haze Festival, Somerleyton Hall, Nr Lowestoft I can hardly contain my exitment that it all went so well and that EastAngliaTruth and 911 Truth GB & Ireland are well and truly on the map in the East of England. The festival organisers 'Hazy Promotions' who are very 'pro-truth' gave us a double page spread in the festival programme giving details of what we are about and showing all the presentations we were hosting. There were approximately 13,000* festival goers!

I will direct you to the photos that will be on line, in due course but in the mean time here is a quick summary of what we all got up to:

The set up could not have been better - Within the Green area, directly opposite the Acoustic Stage and right next to the main bar! This meant that the was a great deal of passing traffic. It also meant we could sit outside the TruthTent with a beer and watch the likes of The Levellers, Nick Harper and Rory McCloud who were the headline acts for this stage while maintaining a good presence round the clock, to get the information out there. The event organisers were kind enough to provide us with a very cool looking metalic/silver plastic tent in which we could display information very clearly, sell and give out merchandise, leaflets and show movies. We displayed our very large banners that could be seen clearly from other areas of the festival.

To create some waves at the festival, Ian Barrett from 911 Truth Peterbourough had made some brilliant flyers asking for anyone who felt that they were 'suffering from the symtoms of truth decay' to come and visit the TruthTent for 'treatment'. There were duly distibuted around the festival by our very own Truth Dentists complete with theatre blues, masks and CD's bluetac'd onto head torches for full on dental truth extraction (Ian Hunt from the Norwich group wore a neckless of teeth and a Groucho Marks wig to add to the fun).

We had a steady flow of people throughout the weekend with many leaving contact details and buying DVDs, books.

Sadly David S was unable to make it but Annie M came vurtually straight from Willy's event in Amsterdam and attracted in many more interested parties! I think she liked the mud as much as we did

Antony Beckett and Annie gave several talks each over the 3 days in the Auriga Mysteries School tent. Audiences ranged from 10 - 40 depending on time of day, weather and which bands were playing. We had rain on Friday but otherwise it was dry and sunny.

When darkness fell, Ants set up the projector to show movies to passers-by on a screen outside the tent (projecting from within the tent itself). This proved to be a winner with the punters, particularly when we all performed an impromtu shadow puppet show over Ant's slides of sunspot activity

Total DVD sold or given away free 1,000, (approx).
We have been invited to the event next year though my feeling is that we'll be present at a few more festival before then - everyone is still buzzing so much from this one.

There was one chap who must have been about 50 year old, who visited our tent on the friday and who felt that there was no point in campaiging about 911 Truth. He appeared again at Annie's talk on Sunday and he had clearly begun to open up to more about what was being said. Asking many questions and allowing his initial skepticism to wane away. A result like this can only come about at this kind of event; it demonstrates what we are doing here and just how effective it is: One more light is on. One more sleeper is awake.

How many more went away from Eastern Haze with a changed outlook?

Sounds like a sorely needed cosmetic makeover for the truth campaign, just got administered without local anaesthetic, to a no longer comfortably numb population!

That course of treatment deserves a repeat prescription until the public answer "YES" when we ask "Is it safe?"

Still kicking myself for not making it down there, being a dental student n all.

If you can forward anything to me, i'll present your materials to my dental school in the new term.

I personally would like to see a national banner day, where all groups went marching through their town on the same day with Banners, Leaflets and DVD's.. it was great fun making the banners for the Ipswich one we did and actually getting together as a group...
