Are airport bottlenecks a security hazard?

http://newsforums.bbc.co.uk/nol/thread.jspa?threadID=6963&edition=1&tt l=20070726200554

I submitted this at 1pm today

It is also interesting to note that an ex-BNP councillor was charged last year with possessing the largest cache of explosives ever found in this country. Because he wasn't a muslim or Jihadist terrorist it didn't make into any of the mainstream news. Says a lot really.

Still not accepted at 8pm. No doubt they will keep it this way until the this message thread is closed.

All the following accepted. I have to say I haven't done too badly either!

Quote:
"So long as YOU remain frightened of terrorists the government will have control over YOU.

Peter M, London, United Kingdom"

Old Trafford
Ricin Plot
Forest Gate Raid
Airplane plot

What happened to the prosecutions or convictions? Suspects released without charge.

There is overwhelming evidence 9/11 was an inside job and we haven't been told the truth about 7/7.

Quote:
Righty Rightwing says "the Taliban started this war by refusing to hand over the mass murderer Osama Bin Laden & his 7th century fascist cohorts."

Get your facts right. The Taliban offered to hand over Bin Laden only if the US offered proof that he was responsible for 9/11. The US couldn't find any proof because they didn't have any. Look on his FBI "most wanted" page.

Quote:
The Government is using the war on terror to justify greater surveillance of everyone. When did this so-called "war on terror" start? From the attack carried out on 9/11 allegedly by Al-Qaeda. A third of the US population now believe the Government was complicit in the attacks or are deliberately involved in a coverup

Quote:
To think this big brother attitude from the US and British Government stems from 9/11 - the definable event of the 21st century. That "attack" WAS an inside job. Those buildings didn't collapse, they were pulverised into fine dust and they were destroyed at free-fall speed.

Anne Kaye (London) is so right. On the "Bombing enquiry" thread I submitted a quote from "1984" by George Orwell. It was kept as "awaiting moderation" until it was closed: "Once when [Winston] happened in some connexion to mention the war against Eurasia, she startled him by saying casually that in her opinion the war was not happening. The rocket bombs which fell daily on London were probably fired by the Government of Oceania itself, 'just to keep people frightened'." Too sensitive BBC?

Quote:
The Project for the New American Century proposed in its document, "Rebuilding America's defences" that it takes control of the internet as one of the elements for suppressing dissent. The internet IS the last bastion of information and debate among the general public and we must rise to stop this from happening. 9/11 WAS an inside job!

Quote:
I am amazed how naive some of these comments are. It seems people are making the assumption that British Intelligence are "whiter than white" when elements within it are probably quite the opposite.

Quote:
The World Bank is a creature of US economic policy. and Mr Wolfowitz is a Neo Conservative. Look up the "Project for the New American Century" and see who else is in the club. Wolfowitz was put in place to accelerate US global economic hegemony.

Quote:
"It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could igve you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself—anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. In any case, to wear an improper expression on your face… was itself a punishable offense. There was even a word for it in Newspeak: facecrime…" 1984

Quote:
It is about time the people of the UK understand the history of the Federal Reserve banking system in the US and the Bank of England. Both are NOT owned by the Government, but by the private banking system. If raised taxes are not being spent on better public services, where do you think the money is going? Will this message get published? Probably not.

Quote:
It doesn't matter how much money we give to charity, Africa will always be kept deliberately in debt slavery due to the finance policies of the US and Europe and the greed of the big corporate banks.
