AT&T confirms mobile calls don't work from plane

A guy tried to use his cell phone on a plane but it didn't work. Here's what AT&T says about it.

I have posted before about this:

You would all be best advised to sit next to someone like I did.

I sat on a plane in September 2006 taking off from Stanstead.

The guy next to me tried to get a signal on his mobile phone while we were on the runway.

Result was no signal.

The aircraft accelerated down the runway and the guy next to me tried again.

Result was no signal.

As soon as the aircraft was in the in the air, the bloke next to me tried again.

Result was no signal.

When the aircraft was cruising, the bloke next to me tried again.

Result was no signal.

When the aircraft began it's descent, the bloke next to me tried again.

Result was no signal.

When we were beginning our approach to Dublin, the bloke next to me tried again.

Result was no signal.

When we started to land, the bloke next to me tried again.

Result was no signal.
